Sorry iloveder, but all three of the people you ask if we remember are three that I'm HAPPY are gone - Burke because of his "holier than thou" attitude and the whole TR trouble he made in real life - Addison because she just didn't go with Derek, ever - and Hahn because she was a b***ch and not someone I would choose for Callie to have her first "experiment" with.
Owen brings an interesting aspect to the show and the new heart doctor an unusual one. Since Owen arrived, Christina's acting has gotten even better - if that's possible! If Izzie stays, I hope they keep bringing Denny back occasionally. NEVER get tired of looking at him and his killer smile!! The show would not be the same without TR but if he chooses to follow a different path in his career, more power and success to him! Same goes for Katherine. As for Arizona - the jury is still out on that one. Since it sounds like she's staying, maybe a good story line to add would be to show what kind of experiences she and Meredith h

what the hell. the writers and producers are killing the show. i'm sorry, but i'm speaking my mind. they're getting rid of all the good characters (anyone remember Burke? Addison? Hahn?) and bringing in more bad ones! ok, maybe they're not all bad, Owen is my new favorite character, and i guess Arizona is ok, but Sadie was just not right. i haven't seen grey's in 3 weeks, and i don't really care. as long as i don't miss the mer/der engagement, i'm fine. the only reason i'm watching right now is for the mer/der engagement, and owen and christina.
I am a George and Izzie fan, but let's not make a scene on something that is not about them. Yes with Arizona there will be less screen time for everyone, but if Katherine and TR want to leave, that is their choice. I honestly don't think they are going any where soon.
I absolutely love Arizona. She brings a fresh new look to the show. I think her and Callie will be very happy together.
And to everyone who wishes that Mark and Callie were a couple, be careful what you wish for. I would love to see them together too, but look at George and Izzie. They were bestfriends and things did not work out because they couldn't talk to each other.
As I said before I am so happy Jessica Capshaw is signed on!

It'll be interesting to see what direction the writers take the Callie and Arizona relationship. Maybe this means Callie and Arizona will actually be together and Callie will finally be happy.

I understand that we can't all be happy where the show goes. From what I understand Callie/Sada Ramirez is really a lesbian. Sooooooooo that being said maybe she wants a role that mirrors her own life. I love that they have made her a lesbian. It is something I can relate to. Since I myself am a lesbian. Cherry ty for agreeing with me. That is something that don't often happen when we are talking about Grey's. LOL!!! People are so pissy about there Grey's pepole. LOL!!! Dimples61,i agree with everything you said.
dead denny got on my nerves so much.
mark and callie friendship is beautiful and they shouldn't ruin that by making them a couple. Arizona seems fit for Callie. And Mark && Lexi are simply meant for each other. So welcome to the Grey's regular cast Jessica! I for one am really happy about this.

Izzy wants to go and make movies and it is said that George wants to leave and go back to broadway. So Heigl is getting what she wants (killed off). It will be sad to see her go. But enough is enough. I'm tired of the whole seeing dead Denny thing. That has lasted way to long. Thank god Denny has his own show and probably won't be back but once more. As for AZ I like her. I think that she and callie will make a very cute couple. Callie needs someone to love and be loved by. I think she knows who and what she is now. So she is ready to have a relationship. Hopefully she won't feel the need to freak out with AZ. With Hahn she acted like she couldn't figure out her feelings. That is why she kept running back to Mark. Her and Marks friendship is really cute now. They are best friends. I loved the way he wanted her when he broke his penis. LOL!!! I am sorry but my wife and I basically watch for George and Izzie. I can accept Katie's departure because it is her choice. TR, on the other hand, is another story. He is basically being pushed out of his livelihood to make room for all those new characters.
I also have no problems against lesbians, but I find it ridiculous that every new female character is suddenly gay, and I don't buy Callie as one. She belongs with Mark, always has.
All my wife and I see when we see those new characters are them pushing out George off the show.

JJ, I don't think any of us hate Arizona. I like her. I like the actress.
I am fine with her being on the show but I don't want her to take away screentime from George.
If they were able to give all the characters their chance to shine, I wouold be fine with it, but right now George hasn't had a story in a year and a half now and not more than 2 minutes per episode, so clearly the show doesn't know how to handle the 2000 characters it has on so far. Then why add another?
The more characters they add, the less screentime every single character is going to have. Not just George, but MerDer, Alex, Mark, Cristina.
I think of shows like Scrubs and they kept very few characters over the years which is why the show always kept his freshness for me.
Grey has way too many characters now and we are losing a great character who brings so much to the show because of it.
I get that you don't want Jessica to lose her job, but how is it better than TR loses his job because of this?

Perhaps Callica was too explicit for the first time on the show where there was meant to be a lead couple as gay. It came as a shock to viewers who went from watching Callie make out with Mark at every opportunity to seeing her try desperately to see leaves.
I hope that the writers took this all on board and will make a fairer representation this time around. I don't think Arizona and Callie are destined to last, based on Shonda's comment about Arizona being a detour. But it would be nice if the writers paid attention to the negative and positive comments that have been given and give us a performance that isn't just informative, but is entertaining. We all know that we love Grey's for the funny stuff.. C'mon, admit it. I don't want them to make a joke out of the whole thing, and so far they are doing well.
George and Izzie fans, I'm sorry that its all going badly for them, and I don't think the rumours about the Diva thing are true. TR doesn't seem to be that sort of guy. But

I think Capshaw will be a good addition to the show. I must say I did not particuarly like her character at first, but Arizona's last exchange with Callie was humourous and I think we'll see significant character development in the next little while.
However, I do object to the:
"Capshaw's promotion should silence critics who sounded the anti-gay alarm after ABC kindly asked Grey's Anatomy executive producer Shonda Rhimes to banish Callie's first girlfriend, the brusque and ballsy Dr. Hahn (played by Brooke Smith), to the parking lot."
Well, I'm curious to see just where they decide to go with this story. After all, representing the gay/lesbian community is not as simple has having two people of the same sex say, "Wait, you're a lesbian? So am I!".
Remember all the debate about the "explicitness" of Callica? About whether it was too explicit, or simply too explicit for a lesbian relationship?
Let's just wait and what happens.

TR is not being ungrateful or a diva. All he wants is to act which is normal for an actor.
He gets 2 lines per episode and the nameless interns, the dead ghost and all the guest stars get more than him.
I would be frustrated too. This show is super lucky that TR ahs actual class and isn't bad mouthing them to the newspapers and mags like Katie did.
I have news for you. All actors want to wortk. Eric Dane demanded to have a real love interest on the show, and he did. katie demanded a real story and she got a big one. Patrick Dempsey said he would quit if he was ever backburnered and said season 3 was boring publicaly.
Yet none of them are getting punished? No, they whined and demand and get what they want.

TR leaving doesn't mean we can't see George having a patient or operating or gaining his interns' respect. That wouldn't be a story but that would be airtime.

TR is being troublesome on set? Funny TR has always had a great reputation until now that the show wants to get rid of him and is trying to make themselves look like the good guys and he like the bad guy. Eric Dane, Melissa george, Katie, Chandra Wilson all said TR was an absolute joy to work with and not being troublesome at all. Sara Ramirez actually gave him a solidarity necklace after those rumors come out, guess whose side she is on?
Aussiello has said the only reason why TR is complaining is because he has no story and airtime, so the reason he is unhappy is because of the lack of airtime. So your reasoning makes no sense.
He is only complaining because he gets no story which means this is not the erason why his airtime was cut.
