Multiple sources have confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that:

• There will be a spin-off to NCIS;
• Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J will star in it.

The latest report says O'Donnell will play Callen, a role previously described as "a human Transformer who can change personas as easily as you or I change clothes."

The former rapper meanwhile, will take on the part of Sam Hanna, an ex-Navy SEAL who recently completed stints in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Once assembled, this new team will be introduced in an episode of NCIS to air later this season. The new show will then premiere in the fall.
