Amy Poehler’s new TV series, Parks and Recreation (falsely reported by loser celebrity gossip sites to be called Public Service last week) will premiere Thursday, April 9.

The new NBC comedy features Poehler as optimistic town official Leslie Knope in Indiana, who turns a construction pit into a park while trying to mentor a bored intern.

Helmed by The Office exec producers, Parks and Recreation will mimic the show’s style and co-star Rashida Jones and Aziz Ansari as a nurse and a government official.
