At a time when many people were wondering whether the CW was even going to last another year itself, the network has renewed six of its television shows for next season. 

CW President Dawn Ostroff has notified executives at Warner Brothers Television and CBS Paramount Network Television this morning according to TV Week.

The shows being renewed include Gossip Girl, 90210, America's Next Top Model, One Tree Hill, Supernatural, and Smallville.  The biggest shock of the group of shows mentioned was definitely Smallville, as the network was struggling to renew star Tom Welling's contract.

Shows we're still waiting on the CW to renew? Privileged, The Game, and Everybody Hates Chris. 

The CW does, after all,have to make room for its new Melrose Place and Gossip Girl spinoffs in addition to its new programs, Vampire Diaries, Light Years, and The Beautiful Life.
