I think everyone is tripping this is not the great G.A. we are used too....cute proposal but i think he should have gotten on one knee after his little speech and i think they should have focused more on izzie i feel like they rushed the whole thing and there could have been some great scenes with her about being scared and i donnno i feel like this was juss the icing on the cake and they should have gone deeper having one of their own in the hosppital could have been so much bigger, after making the whole denny gost thing so big the solution should be bigger i hope there is a lot more to this story line in the next few episodes.the owen christina thing was done very well tho i must say, those are such real issues that hit so close to home.

I gotta say THIS...WOW.THIS Episode tonight WAS PERFECT..
This IS the Grey's Anatomy an audience fell in love with. I'm so glad they saved Izzy, I would've stopped watching if something went wrong in the surgery.
-TOTALLY agree with Anika's post, couldnt had said it better myself.Just want to add to that-
-Callie showed a lot of character tonight, its not easy to go get your ex-husband like she did, and say what she said. She grew and I am very proud of her.Thumbs up for her and Arizona too.
-In fact all of the characters we've come to love, have grown so much this last two weeks.(Izzy & Karev, Christina, Miranda, Callie, the Chief and of course Derek & Meredith)
-Miranda was the best, she is my moral support..
-Hope Christina and Owen can make it thru now that he's getting help.
I was glad to see LESS of the Intern's drama. They are trying to push them into the show. I get its a teaching hospital and all but, they are really getting on my nerves. Get better actors. A

OMG THEY DID IT FINALLY IT WAS SO CUTE LOVE LOVE LOVED IT THE CUTEST ONE ON TV EVER!!! they better not break up or call off the wedding or ill be sooo mad!!! they do it in ever show like gilmore girls i want them to get marreied and have a baby togeather and build a house on derek's land!!!!! cant wait till season 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finished watching it and this is the "Grey's Anatomy" I love! Great episode for every character!
- The proposal was amazing
- Meredith finally was there for Derek and didn't run or freak out
- The Chief rocked! Rocked when he said he was scared too, when he talked with Derek to try a third time, rocked when he stopped Meredith to take the elevator
- Callie was cute with Arizona and the way she talked with George and also cared about Izzie despite what happened in the past was touching
- George's angry and fear for Izzie was moving
- Cristina and Owen (great acting for both Kevin and Sandra) broke my hearth. The way make love and how Cristina said she was afraid to fall asleep in his arms was tearjerker
- Alex was my fav character this episode (Justin rocked)! The way the just hold the cup for helping Izzie, him being upset, guilty and his talk with Mer saying that wasn't the way he wanted kids with Izzie, him being at her side after surgery... Alex was a jerk in

This Episode: absolutely perfect.
It combined the perfect amount of happiness (engagement!!! and izzie being okay!) with sadness (owen/christina)
The way derek proposed? Perfect. Have I said that word enough? I loved it!

I thought the entire show was absolutely perfect, just the right amount drama & humor. Even though we all knew the proposal was going to happen in the elevator I don't think anyone could have guessed how amazing it was going to be, & how hot did Derek look standing there. Finally, Merder for the rest of their lives!

George fans:
George was in about four-six scenes, from what I remember. They showed him in the cafeteria (no dialog), and he was in an exam room busting casts cos he was angry with Izzie because she had lied to him, but Callie came in and talked to him. He cried (not like...dramatic. But his eyes were wet with tears. it broke my heart >.

Well, I am not a diehard fan of George, but I think it was really well done. I think it is a natural reaction to be scared to death, and for that to manifest itself in (at least initially) anger. I think in a lot of ways, George was going through somewhat of a grief process about the diagnosis. None of Izzie's other friends went up to see her either... they all kind of reacted the same way. They wanted to run away from it by keeping busy instead of being with her. Bailey reprimanded them all at the end, and by then, they had all realized how stupid they were, anyway.
I actually think they've been doing a good job with George the last couple episodes (I know it has mostly sucked for him this season). So I don't think now is the time to give up on it, Georgefan!

I thought the entire episode was sooo good! But the proposal WAS GREAT! I loved it! It was so Mer/Der. He was so sweet in how he shared with her all the things that have tied them together and he looked so hot in that scene. (I mean he looks hot in all his scenes) but this one he looked exceptional good! I am so excited about them being engaged. And Meredith finally told him out loud that SHE LOVED HIM and I loved how she carried his ferryboat cap to him before his surgery. I don't think it could have been any better than how it all played out! Very pleased! Patrick and Ellen knocked it out of the park tonight!.....Kathy

Thanks so much. That makes no sense. last episode george gave Izzie that great smile, now he has to be begegd to see her. I see Shonda with her TR and george hate must have been writing this episode.
I will be erasing this episode as soon as I get home. I am sick and tired of her trying to destroy George and now doing this to the GI friendship.
We and TR deserve a lot better.

George was pissed about Izzie turning to Cristina instead of him, and also pissed because he asked her if something was wrong a hundred times and she always lied and said nothing. He was taking out his anger by smashing casts or something in ortho. But Callie went in and talked to him, and got him to come around. It was a sweet scene between the two of them. He went and waited outside of the OR with everybody else, but there was no scene between George and Izzie this episode. At the end, Alex was the one to go in and lie in bed next to Izzie in recovery.
