Christina did not tell anyone about Izzie until very late in the episode, so there is not much to say about George with Izzie. However, George worked with Merideth today and actually played his usual part as one of the original intern-now-residents. He knew something serious was happening and questioned Izzie when she and Christina were speaking in code about an appointment Christina had scheduled. Bailey was the one who told George, who then rushed to comfort Izzie. But this happened at the end of the episode and was very brief during the voiceover. If you were hoping for something more dramatic, I apologize. However, from the looks of it, George seems he is going to play a major role supporting Izzie during her illness. Tonight was a nice step toward integrating him back into the show.

Yeah, Izzie didnt tell ANYONE. She couldnt. Cristina broke the news and Izzie actually thanked her for it. Good point, George always knew something was wrong but Alex was clueless...probably becuase Alex is finally happy and he thinks they will be the future of the hospital together...how sad!!!!

Oh thanks. My poor sweet George. Of course he would try to be strong for her. What bugs me is some people keep saying how weak George is when he really is so strong for those he loves.
Was george in the promo?

OK so we didn't even get to see Izzie tell George? That sucks.
I don't care much about Alex either. How come George knew something was wrong in his heart and Alex was so blind about it?

during the last song, Bailey is telling George the news about Izzie and he quickly runs down the hall and goes to Izzie with a smile on his face....i thought he was gonna start crying but he was trying to be strong...that broke my heart

cristina told Alex and Bailey right before he solo surgery....they told meredith and George and at the end all the 5 original interns tht we love were in the same room only Izzie was in a hospital robe in a bed and they were all at her side and she was talking to them but the music was overscoring the talking. in the promo for next week you see Alex very upset saying something like "This is not supposed to be happening!"

Holy shit sorry for the language but that episode was fabulous! Sooo sad with Ozzie and alex omg! I can't believe she might die :( really sad at the end when they were admitting her and stuff. Kinda reminded me when meredith almost died. And omg blowhole dude scared me sooo bad I almost freakin passed out ewe!!! The episode lacked merder though :( that was the only bad part! Suppurb acting though great job Grey's cast!!!

So George didn't find out from Izzie? What did Alex do? Was he a jerk to George again? If so I'll hit him.
I haven't felt sorry for him. Izzie told him about Denny and everything and the idiot thought it was about heer loving him. If he had pushed, she wouldn't have been so sick.
You know george would have.

I agree with you Shannon, she can't be dieing! It would tare apart Derek and everyone else. I definitley felt the nostalgic of the old Grey's, although I didn't cry until the previews. Stairway to Heaven was more upsetting to me. Next week looks like a doozy! Break out the Kleenex!

Richard sent Meredith there expecting a ring thinking that Derek's love and need for her would be strong enough to overcome his self doubt and self-destructive feelings. He couldn't get past it without help from his friends, people who are his friends that he didn't even know about, like Callie and Owen, and then an even better friend who he takes for granted, Richard. rRchard has been so far beyond where Derek is now, and has come back from it. Derek needed to hear that to start to come back. He needs friends. That what was so powerful about the voiceovers from Meredith tonight. What a stunning episode! Go Grey's Anatomy! You are amazing!

So glad to see the previous interns - now residents together again. Love the ending. The way how Meredith responded to Derek. The way how Christina talked Izzie into treatment. The way how they are all there by Izzie's side.

Wow. There are no words. This is the Grey's Anatomy I fell in love with. All the frustrating episodes of the past are forgiven. Tonight made up for them :)
I am also now reassured Katherine Heigl is staying on the show. If Izzie dies, she's taking Derek's character down with her, and of course that's more than a bit unlikely.
T.R. Knight's fate is a different story, but it was good to see him as an actual member of the cast tonight.

I am so so sad. So sad for Izzie.
And so glad. So glad to see George. We actually saw George this episode... for more then 20 seconds.
I am so glad that Shonda let us see George care-- in noticing and knowing something is wrong with Izzie and asking her what enema was code for.
and
I know I've been trying to be so glass-half-full and hoping Shonda will give us true Gizzie friendship.
But I am so mad!
How can anyone feel sorry for Alex???????? I love Alex's character, I really do, but when it comes to Izzie he's a bleeping idiot!!!!!!! I can't even feel bad about how it's going to affect him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I cried like a baby at the end. Glad to see some light of the old Grey's. For me, this episode was one of the best of the season, and I'm pumped for next week! Izzie BETTER make it!!!

This episode was really good!!! there was alot of george!!!! It was really sad though!! izzie can't die! everyone going to derek's trailer and drinking was pretty funny!
i have a feeling that next week we are going to need a whole box a tissues!!!
