vanessa should be kicked off the show. seriously.

  2. morgan

vanessa was annoying in this ep as usual. it was nice to see nate happy with his family and th einternship is a great opportunity for him. from his comments to blair, it's obvious nate wants to accept the positive aspects to his wealth and status and that's a good thing.

vanessa and nate DO NOT belong together. this was the perfect way to break them up, i luv it.

Yes, Hailey's right about the ruby ring.

By the way, in case non-book readers dont know.. everything Nate was referring to in that scene talking about their history - is from the books - things like how Blair loves to watch old Audrey Hepburn movies and would make Nate watch them.

Also, in the show, we never see Nate smoke up but in the books, Nate is really a major pothead and Blair references that in the scene ("I thought you were just interested in getting high and playing Halo").

So all these references are just to show their history and how long and well theyve known each other.

:] - Nice vid of nate&blair. You know that ruby ring she always wears is actually from Nate. He bought for her from Tiffany's.

I agree 110% with Gina. Haha. Nate and Blair are cuties- I like Chuck, but not when he's pursuing/with Blair. N & B all the wayy:]

  8. Gina

I dont think it would have mattered to Blair if Chuck told her she loved him. At this point, they would have been just words she would not have believed because he has rejected her, abandoned her, and treated her like trash all school year.
I wouldnt believe it either. Plus Id never go back out with a guy who treated me like that for a year. PLUS plus why would I care when I have th elikes of NATE paying attention to me?? Nate is SO FINE it's ridiculous.

  9. parker

Why did Dorota lie to Chuck and was so eager to get him out the door? haha
Well, I'm sure she just wanted privacy for Nate & Blair, but still funny..

    really Blair.....going back to Nate?
Love Nate and all, but Blair belongs with Chuck......he was finally going to tell her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and really Vanessa....selfish much? You were basically telling Nate to pass over a really great opportunity for his future so he could travel with you.....
I really hope that the whole Chuck and Vanessa bit that they showed in the next weeks preview was a temporary thing.....
CHUCK AND BLAIR ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Sadness

I'm upset. Wikipedia gives spoilers for the rest of the season:[ I read them. Ughhh, why did I read themmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

omg this was so sad. nate and blair did look so cute. i still want chuck and blair together. it was so sad how he pushed her away when she was like take me. you could tell he really wanted her, but knew he couldn't just take advatnage of her. and his face at the end! =( if i wasn't so in love with chuck i be crying right now haha his face cheers me up whether he's happy, sad, or whatever. it's still so sad. when will they ever be happy again? like in the begining...

  13. madison

ilovenewyorkNandB: omg, so true, right?? it's like nate was wanting blair to tell him to stay, awwwwww!!

  14. ilovenewyorkNandB

God, when Nate and Blair were in her room, and he said "I just wanted to make sure you're fine. Which you are, so.." talk about sexual tension!

Good episode. Dan was awesome. Blair at the party was hillarious. Chuck and Blair always great together. Blair and Nate, they seem like two lost kids who are both scared about the future and are bonding over that as friends, but love I don't think so. Chuck and Blair endgame.

ehhh so boring. gossip girl is done its so sad. I just liked blair and even tonight she was boring. I have to watch this show stoned now to even remotely like it. Ughh and serena is so boring and i just felt that chucks accent was really weird tonight.

    guest -

Sounds like you've hit the nail on the head, especially when he was making his speech about his internship afterward and she was staring on. I hope this is a lot more than an act of desperation, though. Blair needs to be genuinely happy, and I'm sure Nate can do that for the time being.

And plus, this gives Chuck the opportunity to come up and snatch Blair from Nate again, like in Season 1. :P Although I haven't been a big fan of all of Chuck's decisions this season, I'm still kinda holding out for those two.

But... Jeez. Nate and Blair are so cute. I could not stand them at all in Season 1... But it's nice to see them reconnecting and actually acknowledging what they used to have, because it's been little-to-no interaction between them since the end of Season 1. It was about time, they couldn't just throw away all of that so suddenly.

p.s. it was so sweet when blair was like-remember when you first took me here, when we first started dating, i was how old..? and nate said, "12, 13?" they dated from 12-17! well, they have a long history in the books and im glad to see that honored in the show.

  19. madison

    O.M.G. NATE & BLAIR = too sweet!

  20. guest

Well, Did anyone see how blair was gazing at nate during their heart to heart?!? geez. I think that blair thinks that in order to get her old life back, she has to act like the Old Blair. The quickest was for that was through Nate. This is because her life was planned out when he was in her life. She really is desperate for structure and familiarity.

    agree or disagree?

  21. k.

Jeez, the ending reminded me of my deep appreciation for Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Alex Patsavas. HOME VIDEO! :) They always know how to throw together a good ending, I love it.

And Chuck's expression at the end was just... Wow. :( Even though I've read the recap, I didn't think it would be that devastating.

And as much as I love Chair... Damn, did you see that tension between Nate and Blair when she walked into her room and he was standing there?

  22. Carly

I am completely smitten by Chuck! And as much as I'd hate to admit it, I loved the scene of Blair and Nate talking about their past. It was definitely cute, and my eyes teared up. But not nearly as much as Chuck, almost in tears! ))))):

  23. Gillian

this episode was so heartbreaking. although it did not make me cry like the one where chuck left blair the note saying he wasnt good enough for her. =[
i must say the chuck is by far one of the best characters!
and i feel soo bad for him
i do love nate but he better say no to blair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best episode so far! It made me like NV and even Nair. Maybe Blair should be with Nate... because he has finally grown up. But at the same time so has Chuck!

Dan is finally becoming the old Dan Humphrey. I loved "they're not the Corleones"!

  25. S

yaa, the episode last night was AMAZING ... and, although i am a HUGE chuck/blair fan, i gotta admit, blair did have a point when she told chuck he wasnt really there for her.... he was off wit the hooker instead ... and im not really a n/b fan, but nate was so sweet.. especially when they were talkin bout their past .... ma fav scene was deff when blair was makinn fun of all the ppls at the party .. was jokes!!
