Former Bachelor Stars Lambast Jason Mesnick
Former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants are slamming Jason Mesnick for dumping fiancee Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney on Monday's season finale.
On his Facebook page, Andy Baldwin wrote: "Andy is glad when he was the Bach. He was a man and didn't sell his soul and cave. Such a sellout."
Later, Baldwin posted another message re: the shocking Bachelor finale: "You do NOT break up on national television. That is the opposite of a gentleman."
Navy Lt. Andy Baldwin starred in The Bachelor: An Officer and a Gentleman in Season 10. He chose Tessa Horst but broke up with her a few months later.
Elsewhere, Trista Sutter - the only star to wed the person they chose on the show - was also shocked that Mesnick (who has a son, Ty, 4) would propose to one woman, introduce her to his child and then hook up with a new woman."
"How could you go from being engaged to someone, to kissing someone else on the couch?!" she fumed. "He doesn't deserve to walk away scot-free."
"What disappointed me as a mom is that he introduced both girls to Ty ... Melissa was around, and now she's gone. What is Ty going to think?"
Trista Sutter - who is expecting her second child with husband Ryan - said she sent a text message to Melissa Rycroft after the show.
It said: "'I'm proud of the way you handled it.'"
Sutter went on in her posting on momlogic.com: "She deserves so much better! Melissa hasn't been able to say anything about this until now, so I think she's relieved. I am happy she can finally move on."
"As far as I'm concerned, this is a blessing in disguise. Now she can find someone who truly loves her."
Sutter called Jason Mesnick "obviously fickle" and warned Molly against jumping into a relationship with him after the way he treated Melissa.
"How can you trust him?" she said.

EVERYONE MUST REMEMBER THAT WE WHERE NOT PRESENT AFTER THE CAMERAS TURNED OFF WITH THESE TWO. EVERYONE TENDS TO SHOW ONLY THEIR GOOD SIDE WHEN THE CAMERAS ARE ROLLING. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE ULTIMATE FLAW IN THE CONCEPT OF THIS SHOW. I BELEIVE THAT'S WHY A LOT OF THEM DON'T MAKE IT. DID MELISSA HIDE HER BAD SIDE? BE HONEST, YOU KNOW WE ALL HAVE A GOOD AND BAD SIDE. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I DON'T BLAME THE BACHELORS OR BACHELORETTES IN HIDING THEIR BAD SIDE WHEN A CAMERAS DOCUMENTING THEIR EVERY MOVE. IT'S ONLY HUMAN NATURE TO WANT TO BE LIKEABLE. MAYBE AFTER THE CAMERAS TURNED OFF THEY DISCOVERED THEY WEREN'T EXACTLY WHO THEY THOUGHT THAT EACH OTHER WERE. IT'S VERY UNFAR TO BLAME OR JUDGE SOMEONE WHEN YOU WEREN'T PRESENT OR KNOW ALL THE FACTS. I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD STOP BEING SO HARD ON JASON. EVERYONE SHOULD GET ON WITH THEIR LIFE. OBVIOUSLY THEY HAVE AND IT LOOKS TO ME THAT JASON DID THE RIGHT THING. MELISSA DOESN'T SEEM TO BE HURTING THAT MUCH.

Like many others, I believe if Jason had such mixed emotions he should never have proposed to anyone. Frankly, I believe Jason is so into Jason that he had to play the game to the hilt . . . get the most attention out of it that he could. It is useless to blame ABC - they may have wanted it for the drama, but Jason made his own decisions and didn't care a hoot how it was effecting Melissa or anyone else.
And Molly is either a complete idiot for being a part of this or is also so caught up in playing a game that she no longer knows how to get out of. I am not convinced that she did not know what was going on all along. Remember that when Jason rejected her that she did not fall apart. She just kept telling him he was making a horrible mistake.
How many of you recall when Jason was meeting Molly's parents? If you will recall, during that program when Molly was talking with her dad, she reminded him that he knew how competitive she was and that she was in this thing to win it. She

ABC, Jason, Molly - you are all just too much. I don't believe Jason fell for both women and couldn't decide so he just take a guess on Melissa. This had to be scripted and if so, it was cruel and awful and I'll never watch this show again. I was so excited that Jason finally found his true love after Deanna dumped him. To bring his son into this mix was just unconscienable..... here's Melissa, now here's Molly.... oh yea and remember Deanna? Jason, grow up and stop being so into yourself. You turned out to be the biggest jerk on the Bachelor EVER!

Everyone just has to not watch bachelor again because it was such a croc that the only way this will not happen again to another girl is to stick it to ABC, it is there fault for airing it.

OMG! He can't be serious that he thinks one day he and Malissa will one day be friends... I loved this smile and his eyes but he turned out to be a big disappointment.

He gives all of us a bad name. The way he handled it was sad - I know he was under contract with ABC (they are bad apples here too) so it only makes me believe they planned it together... Anyone would be lucky to have melissa

I WAS DISTURB WITH THE SHOW ON 3-2-09. NOT ONLY DID JASON PLAY MELISSA HE PLAYED ME! I BELIEVED HIM WHEN HE CHOSE MELISSA. I AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AND CO-WORKERS WILL NEVER WATCH THE BACHELOR AGAIN. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF HE PROLONGED HIS DECISION UNTIL HE WAS SURE. TO BLINDLY BREAK UP WITH MELESSA ON NATIONAL TV. HE PROVED HE IS NOT A GENTLEMAN AND EVEN WORTHY OF HAVING A REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH ANY WOMAN. I HOPE MOLLY SEE'S THAT JASON HAS A COMMITMENT ISSUE AND LEAVES HIM ALONE. "JASON IS A WOMAN'S WORST NIGHTMARE" HE DESERVES TO BE ALONE.

The whole thing was so scripted from Jason's drama to Chris' drama aruond the final rose show. I'm not as convinced the girls knew but either way I'm done watching it.
