I used to be a huge Blair-Chuck shipper, but that whole Elle storyline ruined everything for me. It just completely trivialized Chuck's past feelings for Blair and his current one because it seems Chuck does not really love Blair as much as Blair loved him, let alone love her enough as she deserved to be.
I'm actually quite excited to see the Blair-Nate hook-up. The scene with them in the room when they were talking about the past was really sweet. I know that Nate was a total arse to Blair in the past, and I've been one to vehemently curse Nate to hell for screwing with Blair over and over before. But it really does seem that he's different now. And Blair needs someone tender and sweet who will take care of her and put her back together. Nate is part of the past that defined Blair Waldorf as we know and love, and perhaps he'll be able to help Blair become herself again.
Bottomline, I just really want to see Blair happy and loved, because it seems her whole life she always loves

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
A: Have to give my first favorite to Chuck, "Maybe I could lick them for her." Second favorite has to be Serena after she slapped Dan. Third has to be dear Blair, who, when trying to take a slap at Chuck, said "Maybe I should take it on the roof, make it more dramatic."
2. Will the past continue to be an issue for Lily and Rufus?
A: I think it will. They seem to have some complicated ropes between them.
3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
A: Yes, however I can't say exactly why. I don't pay too much attention to her storyline, however in the scenes I did watch her face just caught me.
4. Should Chuck have done as requested when Blair said "take me now," or did he handle the situation correctly?
A: It looked like it was really hard for him to say no, but I'm glad he did. If he had "taken her now" he would have sealed the deal that B and C would never work out. It would have meant he just wanted sex more than B hersel

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
A: Normally most lines from Chuck would be my favorite, but I have to say Dan had a few good one's in this episode. After Serena slapped him and he commented that Rachel wasn't his teacher. I found that quite humorous.
2. Will the past continue to be an issue for Lily and Rufus?
A: At their age it shouldn't be. They were acting like their teenage children. At their age they should have pasts so get over it already.
3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
A: Truthfully no. If Vanessa left the show I could honestly say I wouldn't miss her. I do think that the way Nate told her he wasn't going with her was pretty cold and harsh, however didn't she kind of snake Nate away from Jenny. Karma's a bitch.
4. Should Chuck have done as requested when Blair said "take me now," or did he handle the situation correctly?
A: As much as I love the Blair/Chuck sex scenes, I agree with everyone and think he did the right thing.

Nuh-uh - best quotes have to be:
Blair: "Why don't I just put it on my Facebook?"
And Chuck: "I don't have time to be playing, Where's Waldorf."

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
- This episode is truly a GG classic. There was witty lines all around, everyone truly delivered this episode. But, although I have a long list of faves, Chuck totally takes the cake when he delivered a truly Chuck-ish line to the internet porn dude. "Big fan of your sites", and in such a deadpan and normal way, it was hilariously serious.
2. Will the past continue to be an issue for Lily and Rufus?
-Ugh, why are we even talking about this!? Do not get me wrong, LR shippers are respected, but, seriously!? Why are they even in the show, all they do is provide filling for the show to get longer, I don't know, there is just something off with these two! But, getting back to the question, Lil and Roofie, you are gonna get a some more blasts from the past, trust me, the writers apparently love the 80s.
3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
- I should, but then that would mean that I would have to actually think of h

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
It is totally when dan was like do you think the Humphreys have a family crest that jenny could sew onto one of my cardigans? i could not stop laughing... i give props to fan in this ep :)
2. Will the past continue to be an issue for Lily and Rufus?
This question is kind of stupid because if their past wasnt rocky, they wouldnt be making a spin off of it... which im really excited to see britney snow playing lily!
3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
This may be cruel but i dont feel bad for her at all! Nates going to be doing something that could benefit his future and yet she is mad he doesnt want to "travel." maybe now she wont be able to use his money to go to all the places she wanted to go :) sorry not a huge V fan.
4. Should Chuck have done as requested when Blair said "take me now," or did he handle the situation correctly?
Any chair fan would want him to shut up and ravage her right then and there..
1. favorite quote: actually dan for once, when he said "do you think the Humphreys have a crest that Jenny could sew onto one of my cardigans?" that just made me laugh.
2. lily and rufus' past:
i dont think it'll be an issue anymore. rufus basically said that he was ok with everything lily had done. and they agreed to move forward which is good because honestly, i think that that was the dumbest idea EVER.
3. feel sorry for vanessa?
normally i wouldnt, but i do. like mister meester said, the beginning of the episode was cool because we got to know nate and vanessa better and the relationship was actually cool for once and then all the sudden nate got really evil and totally dumped her for the mayor lol.
4. should chuck have "taken" blair?
no! i am so glad that he didnt, because thats exactly the kind of shallow CB that we've been having lately. this showed that chuck really loves blair and that hes willing to wait and help her. i thought that was really cute :)
5. wha

March 24th, 2009 10:50 PM
1. blair to nate "don't forget your jacket". i just thought she'll said something more to him, like thank you or anything else.
2. i think rufus is to kind, that's not gonna matter anymore.
3. slightly.
4. i think so, and it's cute that shows chuck has actually a heart. hehehe...
5. they're cute together, and when they both go in that place they usually dated to think, i think it's cute, also when they were reminiscing with their past, i think they really understand each other. i'm starting to really hope for them, but i know in the end it will be not them. sigh...

I agree with that Vanessa and Dan thing. Let Brooklyn people stay in Brooklyn, well, except for Rufus who's great with Lily. Serena and Chuck were great as "siblings," they really helped each other out in a non-mushy way to help their friend.
I don't know about Nate and Blair, but they have a deep history, maybe Nate can bring Blair back.
I really don't like this Vanessa character, she "hates" the rich people even if they've done her no wrong, but she constantly pushes herself into their circle. Find a character, girl.
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
A: Vanessa "Why do rich people insist on having small food?"
Dan "That's why they're rich" or something like that. Everything Dan said was pretty funny, and hopefully the of Dan Humphrey is returning to my favourite show!
2. Will the past continue to be an issue for Lily and Rufus?
A: No, but they will talk about the past, which will probaly lead off to the spin off.
3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
A: Yes, of course, she is still a person even if she is a boring fictional person. But what was wrong with Nate interning at the mayor's office. He was expected to follow his family's legacy and he wanted to try and see what it would be like! His family didn't have any problems with Vanessa so if she really loved him that shouldn't matter that he cancelled their backpacking trip!
4. Should Chuck have done as requested when Blair said "take me now," or did he handle the situation correctly?
A: He handled the sitiuatio
I actually agree with fashionista93, because I thought the same thing when Tripp came and say hi to Vanessa in the bar... He was a little touchy touchy with Vanessa and the look that he gave her... I don't know maybe V got some weird feromons that only the Vanderbilts are capable of smell and catch..

Last night's conversation btw Nate and Blair was cute but they are better suited as friends. Same with Vanessa and Dan. I agree with the other comments regarding Nate's treatment of Vanessa. It is not nice. She was willing to forgive him when she discovered he was a male gigolo, helped him see turning his father in to the authorities was the right thing to do, dated him when he was nearly penniless and convinced him to give his grandfather another chance. And what does Nate do? Publicly announce he is backing out of vtheir summer trip and takes Blair home instead of going to Vanessa to talk about the situation. I have always liked Nate and Vanessa together but I am beginning to realize she is too good for him and he should be alone to discover what he wants. Perhaps the time alone would help him see he should be with Vanessa and be the person he is with her and not the product of his grandfathers wishes.

I'm def not high. I personally think that if you watch the past two episodes, Chuck is CRAZY for Elle and didn't even mention Blair. The night Elle dumped him, he went to Blair's. That's rebounding, even if he did love her in the past.
On the other hand, Nate wasn't trying to seduce Blair. She opened up to him, and he showed tenderness. She was also the one to come on to him. He was not rebounding, as he was not pursuing Blair.
I agree that Chuck and Blair have chemistry, but it was just not believable in this episode. The pacing is all wrong.

Actually fashionista93...you got a point. In the OMG promo there was a couple on the bed that Blair & Nate walk in on. Maybe Tripp likes to screw around with other women..meaning that woman underneath him (if that is Tripp) was not his fiance & not Vanessa. Just a random chick.
Anyway, loved the episode - glad chuck finally came 2 his senses after that pointless elle storyline and i thought that they bigged up carter but then he was gone within the first 10mins.

3. Do you feel bad for Vanessa?
A: A little, mostly cos I hate Blair and Nate together. Had they hooked Nate up with someone else.. maybe I wouldn't.
4. Should Chuck have done as requested when Blair said "take me now," or did he handle the situation correctly?
A: Nah. What fun would it be if Chuck has sex with some crazy form of Blair?
5. What's next for Blair and Nate?
A: Hopefully nothing much. I hate them together. So much.
