Gossip Girl Spinoff May Cross Paths with The OC
The Gossip Girl spinoff may be a little East meets West, CW style.
As if exploring Lily van der Woodsen's roots via a Gossip Girl spin-off wasn't enough, Josh Schwartz may revisit an old TV family tree for his new pilot - namely, he might shake the branches of his previous teen drama, The OC.
Schwartz and co-creator Stephanie Savage are "toying with the idea" of having young Lily (to be played by American Dreams girl Brittany Snow) interact with teen versions of The OC's Kirsten Nichol and Jimmy Cooper, EW reports.
Tate Donovan and Kelly Rowan as The OC's Jimmy and Kirsten.
Does that mean Serena van der Woodsen and Marisa Cooper (Mischa Barton's old character) may have had (bitchy little) play dates with each other at some point?
Nothing is official yet, as the Gossip Girl spinoff is still at the pilot stage, but what do you think of this idea? Too far-fetched, or bicoastal genius? Who would you cast as young versions of The OC's elders? Any thoughts?

i think that with lilly being a little related to marissa

Greek's Spencer Grammer for young Kirsten!! I think this will be great! People take Gossip Girl too seriously, it's just a TV show and a spin-off that incorperates some of the OC is just a bit of fun. I can't imagine Jimmy and Kirsten would be major characters.

I wouldnt mind seeing Phillip Van Dyke as Jimmy. I would also like Hayden Panettiere as Kirsten if she wasnt doing Heroes. But wouldnt it make sense for it to be Ellen Hollman and Graham Miller since they played young Kirsten and Jimmy on an episode of The OC?

I think this will be awesome!! i am a mojor OC fan but ive only seen the second season of gossip girl. does anyone know if it will be shown in the UK if josh goes through with it?

I think it could work , cause normally socialites and people from high society know watch other anyways , so it wouldn't be a surprise if they did.
