It's a MerDer wedding, Shonda said so herself.
And it's gotta be George and Owen, but Owen just there for support. I'm the most diehard Cristowen fan out there and there is NO WAY that Owen leaves after Season 5. Cris needs some happy! Burke left her at the freaking altar! But George can't leave, I would cry. He's the glue, like Izzie said back in season 4. He's the GLUE. TR can't go anywhere!

George is going to be a military doctor.
this rumor have been long time ago.
but this stuff don't make sense.

I will never believe that T.R. is horrible on set. I will never believe that he thinks he's too important to attend something. I will never believe that T.R. is arrogant or cocky.
I will believe that T.R. is a complete joy to work with on set, especially after hearing it from Chyler Leigh, Katherine Heigl, Chandra Wilson, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, and everyone else. I will believe that T.R. is being treated unfairly. I will believe that he wasn't at the stupid 100th photo shoot because he was giving out a GLAAD Award. I will believe that he is humble, respectful, funny, talented and a beautiful person.
People that trash talk him disgust me. I know he's a celebrity and it's to be expected, but he gets more trash talk than anyone else on the show (except Katie, but that's a complete different story.)
Go on ahead, fire away. Start your flame war up and tell me to get a life. I think about the worst that could be done is an Internet punch, and I doubt that'll really leave

I've read a lot of reports about T.R. Knight being very unpleasant on the set and wanting out of his contract. I even read somewhere that be booked the day off for the 100th episode party! I don't blame him for being pi$$sed cause they obviously never give him any storyline. I love George to bits, but I kind of hope he goes. I hate seeing only tiny clips of him here and there!! As they say "Go big or go home". And clearly the writers are not going to let George go big.

I hope that Owen is not leaving!!! If has to be George enlisting ... So be it ... He is one of my least favorite characters anyhow. I love the Owen and Christina romance!!! Sandra Oh is an amazing actress - not to mention Canadian!
I hope izzie lives, but who knows!

when is the season fanaly?! you gotta know that before you answer this! i don't think Owen will be leaving! but i don't know about T.R. i hope he won't be leaving! i REALLY hope not! those two were such a sexy couple! they were like my 2nd on my list of sexy couples! of cource my MerDer were first! but reallu, they were hot! i hope he stays!

Okay, I know it's a bit random - I just saw someone's profile pic of him, and I wanted to get that out there.
Anyways, I don't want any of them (including Katherine Heigl) to leave! They're all a part of the show, and personally, I think it should be illegal to leave a show before you're contract is up.
Well, maybe not illegal...but they shouldn't be allowed to do it.
Besides, poor Cristina could use someone :)

If owen was honorably discharged, then I don't think that he would be able to reenlist. So it would either have to be George or another chracter, in my opinion.

Oh and one more thing, I DO think that it is going to be george that enlists in the army. Yes I can see him getting through basic training, if he is determined enough he can do anything just like anyone else. However, I really don't want him to leave. Can they really afford to lose Izzie and George. They BOTH have such a huge fan base....I know that Izzie is my favorite character, and while I will still watch I know it won't be the same....

I disagree that Izzie is irreplaceable. I think that each and every character makes this show the hit that it is, and to lose ANY of them will be dramatic in it's own right. I am sticking to my idea on the dream sequence especially after finding out the last episode is titled lucid dreams. Do you guys know what a Lucid Dream is...I looked it up on wikipedia, and a lucid dream is just that a dream in which yes you are asleep, but you are completely lucid, you KNOW you are dreaming, and you have the ability to actively participate and manipulate the dream...so if Izzie is in a coma like state after a major surgery she could be dreaming all of this...and making it be more then it is...she could dream of a mer/der wedding because she fears she won't get to be in it, she can dream of a wedding with alex because she fears she will never get to marry.....I dont think Denny will return, but you never know....why oh WHY is shonda making us wait this long for a new episode!!!! UGH! If I didn't

I could see George as a military doctor too. He is brave enough and certainly caring enough. He has never struck me as a coward.
Alex? LOL, no way. He is way too much into himself.
I just want George to stay. He is the only reason I still watch that sucky show.

George has never been featured heavily, except in season 3, but I think that was because of the IW thing. They wanted him to shut up about it, so they gave him a story. They also knew he was in the news and some people would watch to see him. Sick but true. After that, they started treating him like dirt again.
Every single character on this show has had a lot more airtime than him. The stupid new interns get more airtime than him.
TR is ridiculously talented. The show is so wasting him, and they are wasting George, which is one of the greatest characters ever portrayed on TV.
George is why I watch, then Gizzie. If I lose both, I am gone.
We get a few episodes to tell him goodbye. Is she kidding me? The George fans deserve way better.
I think George would make a great army doctor. He has such a kind heart, but I DO NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE!
Izzie can't leave, not George. Heck, make Lexie leave instead.

George will always be my favorite. I have seen what the show is without him this season and it sucks big time. I agree with the woman at EW, the best episodes this season are the ones that had a lot of George in it. Just his presence makes the episode feel brighter and better.
No he is not Katherine Heigl, thank God he is not. He is our wonderful sweet amazing George, the one who makes us smile and laugh and care, and this show will have a huge hole in it without him.
Izzie is replaceable, George is not.
TR made this amazingly unforgettable character everyone loves. I couldn't care less TR is not a big star outside the show.
Who needs him to be? We just need him to be our wonderful George.

Why exactly do you think George would fail basic training? I am tired of some people acting like George is this weak little boy. He is not. He works harder than anyone, according to Izzie, and does long hours of work. He did a heart surgery all by himself in an elevator. According to Lexie, George got the most letter of recommendations by his superiors and the most glowing.
His dad died, he failed his exam yet he redit the whole thing and passed.
I think he is way stronger than anyone gives him credit for, and I am sick and tired of the stupid jokes.
George being sweet doesn't make him weak. The fact he can be sweet in this cutthroat world makes him all the more awesome. Izzie at least is smart enough to realize it.
What is it with the losers who think being mean like Alex and Mark maakes you superior somehow? It doesn't.
George is the best of those guys by far.
It's not like he would be joining as a soldier though, he would be a doctor caring for all those wounded so

OK TR was not whining. Where did he whine? Show me the article where TR whined, not rumors he whined or people saying he whined, TR whining himself.
George and Lexie had a big storyline? You could have fooled me. They had a few scenes together that were really great last season but this season it was mostly about Lexie pining for George without George even being shown for those scenes. He had 38 minutes the whole first 10 episodes.
Name me one character who ever had such little screentime in an entire season. I bet you can't.
I adore Cristina, but after Meredith and Izzie, she is the one character that probably had the most screentime of them all. Owen is a newbie, a newbie I like, but a newbie. George is way more essential to the show than owen is.
Even last season, Cristina had 4 times more airtime than George.
