I bet he'll propose March 26th, in Elevator Love Letter. An Alex and Izzie wedding would be so cute, especially if Izzie didn't die ! But we've waited roughly 5 years for a Mer Der wedding, and I won't be happy until they get their happily ever after !

That was a very powerful scene. Though I didn't like Mc Dreamy being the dark and twisty one, it was his turn for a change. It's great to show that Mer has grown and show that she is strong now because she wont walk away, as she said. That poor ring! His mom would be soo mad, ha ha. I dont think Mer will be doing the proposing, Derek is going to have some kind of epiphany and correct his wrongs.
As for the Izzie and Alex wedding, that would be amazing. Shonda would so be pulling "A Walk To Remember!" It's a romantic notion. I really hope Izzie doesn't die because poor Alex he has been through so much. With his past, then losing Ava from her going crazy, now Izzie. I hope this is all a bunch of publicity hype because Alex is getting bright and shinier and I like him that way.
I think Derek should either propose in the elevator with just him and her in it, or either at Joe's with everyone admiring the two. OMG bring back Joe! I love his little comic relief lines and his advice!

I'm betting on the elevator - and not some big prepped proposal, but a genuine one. But I'm betting elevator only because of the title of an upcoming episode.

i think that he is going to leave a note in the elevator for mer to meet him at joes and then he will propose there because when Jen was talking to derek about the ring she said it was romantic when her husband proposed where they first met.
also, i think that they will have a baby before they get married because that just seems way to merder. or she will get married while being very pregnant

I agree, it was VERY important to show that Meredith is going through with this and sticking around.
I can't wait for the proposal!! He should do it in the elevator :D

No one has even mentioned McSteamy and Little Grey. Who ever thought he would settle down. What if he takes it just one step too far and slips something about marriage, little Grey jumps on it and oops.....McMiniGrey in the oven after the wedding night....or to preclude them getting married....even better. At least we know it won't be George again.

He should do it at Joes, or in the elevator. He met her at Joes, and all their best moments happened in the elevator.

I didn't like that Derek hit the ring with the bat but I loved how Meredith was strong enough to stay there. She has grown so much I love to see that she's finally in the relationship too and doesn't go running in the other direction.

OMG! I really hope Derek finds the ring so he can propose to Meredith cuz i've been watching this show forever and thats one of the main reasons why I watch it... I want them to get married and make that dream of building a house on that land come true!

patrick actually said that there will be a wedding at the end of this YEAR, not season. so the wedding will probably happen in the middle of season 6.
and about the mcpregnancy, i think you might be right! ellen's actually been looking pregnant lately. it would be so great if she was!

I think it will be an Alex/Izzie wedding. After losing Denny and never being able to marry him, I am sure Izzie would marry Alex in a heartbeat of he asked her.
I think the proposal will be in Elevator Love Letter and I hope he asks either in the elevator or at Joe's. I want him to leave a clue for her to meet him in Joe's and then propose to her there because it is the first place he saw her and she is "the girl from the bar".
Dempsey was very coy and careful with his wording about the marriage this season. According to him, there will be a wedding this season but he didn't say who and when talking about Mer and Der he confirmed the proposal and then said we would see a union between them.
I think we will get a McPregnancy by the end of the season and that will be the union.

Derek will propose in the elevator, that is were nearly all of their 'tension' was, and WOW what about Meredith proposing to Derek, possible as Meredith seems to be stronger these days. Let's get Derek back into the OR soon, maybe his mother could talk to him, would love to see Caroline again (love Tyne Daly)and he seems to listen to her.
As for Alex and Izzie, don't think they will get married Izzie would not get married under such circumstances.

An Alex and Izzie-wedding!!! OMG, that would be so romantic- and sooooo sad!!! Do you know the book "A walk to remember"? That's what I'm thinking! I would absolutely love that, if miraculously they find a cure afterwards and Izzie doesn't have to die... *sigh* I would LOVE for them to get married! MerDer can always do it afterwards.
Could someone post Patrick Dempsey's quote about the/a wedding again or tell me where it is? Thanks!

Hmm spoilers/sneak peaks said he proposes a third time, does hitting the ring with a baseball bat out into the grass count as the second one!? lol He needs to apologize ASAP. Meredith's really strong, of course she'd accept.. otherwise she would have walked away when he told her too. This was a really good episode.. (: I honestly like the turn of events.

The proposal does happen soon because patrick said that they have only filmed 3 more after the last episode that just aired! Plus, he said that they already filmed the proposal and said that there would be a wedding at the end of the season! It will happen really soon with this whole ring thing and stuff! Just be patient with these next few episodes!

I loved this scene!!! I think it was incredibly important to show that Meredith was the one sticking through tough times and it was Derek who was running. There will be a proper proposal and Mer will accept. She proved in this episode that she is pretty much "whole and healed" and ready to work as a team with Derek! Can't wait for next epi.

do you think that the answer of mer is going to be YES? Many fans are saying that in the interview of PD, he talks about the proposal, but he does not affirm if mer accepts, he does not affirm if her answer is 'yes'.
