They may have tried their best to hide Alyson Hannigan's pregnancy on How I Met Your Mother, but that is soon coming to an end. The actress officially went on maternity leave last week.

Co-creator Carter Bays recently told Ausiello Files: "She is not a big person to begin with, [so she is literally] now half baby.  Even if we had the option to keep her around, it would be comically difficult to hide that growing child inside her."

Luckily, she won't be off the show for too long, as Carter Bays says: "We have a funny way to cross her out for a few episodes and we shot some of her scenes in advance."

After spending the season hiding Hannigan's baby bump, will the producers planning make Lily pregnant at the season finale?  Bays says "It's a distinct possibility."  As as Bays has previously stated, they're only going to do baby stories when they run our of bar stories.

Oh, and as an update for Laura Prepon's guest starring role as Karen: she will only be appearing in one more episode.  Apparently that five episode arc was a lie.
