I do understand what KH is saying. You hear from lots of actors and actresses that it is exhausting.

Some women have to spend a lot of time in the hospital during their pregnancies but Meredith could run from hospital because she does not want to be chained to bed all the time.

what i want to know is why we are having such a long stretch of no new episodes!!!? didnt we just get off a 3 week stretch of waiting!! and now we have to wait till april 23?

I have been trying to figure out how this Mer/Der wedding could possibly take place...here are my thoughts......
1.Maybe Meredith will begin planning her wedding with Derek and she will be one of the ones trying on wedding dresses in the next episode as Shonda refers to in the podcast.
2.May 7th is the 100th episode and Ausiello says it will not be Mer/Der getting married ???? and Shonda refers to this episode as Mer/Der's wedding day (which makes you think they have made plans, right?)
3. PD says from his interview on the VIEW that there will be a union between them (which I am still hoping for a wedding) but that union could be a baby...That would certainly create a union between them and Mer could find out she is pregnant on her big day and for some reason the wedding doesn't happen and (somebody else decides to marry instead.
4. Mer may have had to go to the hospital because of something with her pregnancy and thats why they didn't get married. She may need to be hospital

i bet it will be a flash forward or something. I really hope that Alex and Izzie don't get married... MAYBE on the way to the wedding derek gets in a car wreck and that was mer's dream in the primere. haha Nah, doubtful but could happen with Shonda.

When Ellen Pompeo was on David Letterman a while back she said there well be 24 episodes this season which means April 23 will be episode 20, April 30 will be episode 21, May 7 will be episode 22 then May 14 will be the 2 hour finale (episodes 23 & 24).
Also, TV Guide (Michael Ausiello) said the wedding is definitely NOT Derek & Meredith so now I am pissed off and confused! I STILL think it will be Izzie and Alex getting married.

I read that T.R. Knight had booked the day off in advance - for the 100th episode celebration.
I agree that K.H. sounds really uppity - every time I read quotes from her (which - really isn't often), I think less of her, I have to say. But on this one - they work long hours. REALLY long hours. So 12 months for them is a lot - if it's straight through. It's not like working 9-5. They go all day/night sometimes.
For episodes - I understand that the next one is the 99th, the one after is the 100th, and then there is a finale that is two hours. I read that somewhere. So the equivalent of four episodes left (though they haven't divided the last one into being episode 22/23, so I wonder...).
I'm very curious about all the ambiguity around this. But I like the mixed messages and the way it leaves you hanging. And they really love the mixed messages, which really makes me wonder if this whole KH/TR Knight controversies are a total ploy. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Omg you're right, drcookchick - I can totally see them getting married on a ferryboat! I can just imagine them in the fore, with the wind in their hair, kissing, looking happy.. and then you see like an overview of the water and the boat and those two standing in the front kissing and the camera just moves further and further away.. it would kinda be like Titanic!
Well, my imagination is off limits here but it would be kinda cool if they did get married on a ferryboat!

Maybe the wedding will begin on the 7th and continue on the next epi. At the end when they say Speak now or forever hold your peace, something happens to Iz...FADE TO BLACK. We wait to the Fall to see if Iz survives and if the wedding gets completed.

I think they should get married on a ferry boat :-) Derek has always said that he has a thing for ferry boats.

The season finale is May 14th, a 2 hour episode. There are new episodes April 23, April 30, May 7th and then May 14th finale I think.

I'm excited for this episode, this season has turned out to be amazing! I'm sure the wedding will happen, but some castrophe, might happen like on season 3, so they didn't get to finish theyr'e vows but they will eventually in the seasons end, and who knows, somebody will pry join them.

Is the 100th episode the season finale? Because it's #22 and I've read that there are only 22 episodes this season... If that's so it could be Mer and Der's wedding day but the actual wedding might not take place until next season (ie the season premier would pick up on the same day we left off). After all, Patrick Dempsey did say there would be a union, but not specifically a wedding. That would be incredibly annoying but it's possible...

If you listen to Shonda's podcast on ABC.com she says there will be wedding dresses next episode. DRESSES as in plural. Maybe Alex and Izzie join them for a double wedding?
