What does this mean for the future of The Ghost Whisperer and her impending delivery?

It's a "very special baby with an important role to play," said producer P.K. Simonds, who added that the child will inherit unique abilities from Melinda.

Also, as Simonds told E! Online, look for the young one to possess "other kinds of gifts that we haven't explored on the show yet." 

On the episode "Leap of Faith," Jim's memories finally came flooding back to Sam. That should make this relationship a bit easier.
