I love that Nate and Blair are getting a chance to be together again and we get to see why they were together so long in the first place because ever since the show started, they were never happy togetehr. They had all these problems in their relationship like Serena and Chuck. After Nate and Blair get their chance then I think Blair should be with Chuck.
I want the writers to give Jenny and Nate a chance because that was the shortest and weirdest relationship ever, yet still cute. I want to see then become best friends and I want to see it developing and I want them to fall head over heels in love with each other and be togetehr for a little while before Jenny dumps him, because Nate has never gotten his heartbroken and I would really like to see him be devasted over something like that..

Whilst I enjoy the frisson & excitement that you get in CB scenes I really loved N&B's connection in The Grandfather - it was touching and so believable. This time it would be nice to see a real relationship between them as it looks like there's something really lovely there. Can't we just keep Chair lingering like a spectre in the background - it's more exciting that way.

There's a lot of good suggestions from some of you. I'm up for Serena & Nate. Nate needs to really improve in my eyes so having him stay single for a long time before that hook-up would be beneficial. People mature as they grow up but Chuck is supposed to be unique in that aspect. His growth & character development with Blair is amazing to watch but that doesn't mean they should completely change up his physical appearance. His season 1 outfits were really fun & exciting. It fit him well. I don't mind his hair like everyone else does but I guess it can use some different style. Also more (& better) fashion livens up the show. Oh & it seems the writers have forgotten about friendships...Serena & Blair. Chuck & Nate. Dan & Vanessa. Jenny & Eric!

Personally, the last two episodes were fantastic. Granted, I felt that "The Grandfather" was much better (one of the best this season) then the "Age of Dissoance" (I felt the play fell a little just a little flat). But where my viewership goes on Monday nights is no contest.
But still, I can understand where certain problems may be.
a)I'm not gonna lie and say that that 6 week hiatus was a killer. I mean yes, you could say that last episode was sort of like a "mid-season" finale. But it just didn't have the same effect as to what happened last season when Gossip Girl went on temporary hiatus because of the strike. People got bored and impatient, and honestly couldn't keep track anymore if Monday night was going to be a repeat or not. I know that was the case for a few of my friends. As much as they loved the show, they simply forgot. And now they are going to throw a few new episodes at us (one more to be exact), and then take it away again!

I actually hope the writers don't start looking to the fans for ideas. Writing for the audience is almost always a terrible idea--everyone wants different things, and it won't help the show. For example, I thought Nate and Blair reconnecting was an awesome twist, and very well written and acted--but I don't think it would have come up on many fan wishlists. Josh and Stephanie should just do what they want to do--apart from the Eyes Wide Shut storyline and Elle (which was just HORRIBLY BAD), I think the show's been good this season.

I think the writers are wrong if they think that putting Chuck and Blair together would be boring. If that were true, then Dangerous Liaisons and Cruel Intentions wouldn't exist. They don't need to be a traditional lovey-dovey, hand-holding couple. That would be boring. No, we need to see them scheming together, plotting together, sharing Revenge Lists, being partners in crime. Now that would be fun.

I actually thought The Grandfather was a terrific episode--one of the best of this season. It had a lot of the things that make the show great: interaction between the UES kids (the Non-Judging Breakfast Club is a fan favorite, and with good reason), Chuck-Blair moments, acknowledgment of the history between Blair-Nate and Dan-Serena, and some great one-liners. I think that if the season continues in this vein, the show will be back on track.
But, 2x18 and 2x17 were definitely sub-par. Mostly, IMO, because of the horrific Chuck-Elle, Eyes-Wide-Shut storyline, which has been widely acknowledged as the worst thing this show has ever done. Just stupid from beginning to end. Thank god it's over and done with.
Oh, and no Chuck/Vanessa, ever. Thank you very much.

1) Needs more fashion, more changes of clothes.
2) Jenny needs a storyline and a hot guy. Remains of the J looks great but really, she's only really in 1 episode out of the 6? Come on. Plus she needs her outrageous style back. She was gorgeous in the two eps with the toned down eye makeup but her clothes could make way more of a statement than that. We need the rocker/rebellious, wild J style, GG is just too preppy without it.
3) Serena has no personality. Blake Lively is a way better actress than this, but Serena always has the same tone and same expression. There's no way someone like this who dated a loser like Dan for so long could be a bad ass party girl or queen of the high school. And she needs a guy she is serious about, not these random guys we know are just filler.
4) Nate and Blair are good right now! Needed to get Nate away from Vanessa pronto, he was dying in the show. We never really saw NxB working as a couple, we only saw how wrong they were for

I want them to at least ATTEMPT a relationship... I mean, look at Brooke and Lucas in S3 of One Tree Hill... even pro-Peyton kids were rooting for them. It worked out. So, let's see it.
Secondly, I want to see some Serena/Nate!!... And Vanessa/Dan. I can't entirely understand how someone would want to watch a teen-soap without some relationship drama. I don't even think that's POSSIBLE. Everyone loves relationship drama, because it's supposed to be relatable, or at least take your mind off of YOUR problems so you can worry about someone elses. Nate and Serena were dynamic in the books, and Vanessa and Dan really fit, as well. Granted, Vanessa is slightly less likeable on the show...

Chuck and Vanessa may make a cute couple in real life, but really, that should be it. They could still have an interesting friendship on camera without being interested in each other. I'm fine with a little more cat and mouse between Blair and Chuck, but if it doesn't end in some sort of a relationship, I'll be furious. It's still possible for them to have the same chemistry while being committed to each other. They're twenty times more intriguing than Nate and Blair together. And please, make Chuck more interesting again. His usual witty remarks have dropped and his fashion sense really says it all. And where has his scarf gone?
Also, I think the writers should stray from keeping the show too dramatic in a bad sense. Take the OC for example. When alcohol addictions began and affairs were almost committed, it did make the show more suspenseful. However, it was in a bad way. Don't go for ratings by drastically messing things up; learn a lesson. Keep it mostly light.

Nate and Blair are SO WRONG. He belongs with Vanessa, and I think that dating someone like Vanessa will make things more interesting, now that he's reuniting with the Vanderbilts. Blair already belongs in that world so it's BORING, whereas with Vanessa, so many new storylines could emerge for both her and Nate. These are two characters whom I always feel get the short end of the stick when it comes to good plots. Nate just meanders aimlessly and gets with every girl on the show, while poor Vanessa just never seems to be given anything interesting to do. I was happy with the two of them got together and stayed happy for quite a long time (by GG standards anyway) because it was REFRESHING in comparison to all the strife and breaking up every two episodes that seem to plague other couples on the show. I feel like im watching the lives of 35 year olds...i know kids grow up fast in this city but the point is that theyre growing up on the outside while still really being so young on the inside.
As for their relationships, they are so serious its ridiculous. again...35 year olds.
I think in a lot of ways the show just isnt sexy anymore, the characters act too old, the relationships are too intense...there is no liveliness or passion in the characters that screams 18!!!
What happened to things like sneaking into the school swimming pool and showing them all take some risks?

I'm all with the Chair and no more Derena, but really, I just want to be shocked again. I remember when I watched Season 1, and every ten minutes, I was yelling OMG, NOO, or some other crazy talk. Now it's like. Wow, I totally saw that coming. I get what they're trying to do with Chair, but it's getting ridiculous now. There's only so long you can tease people with something. Either they're together or they're not. Even in Friends, where Ross and Rachel were so into each other, they still managed to give them interesting SLs seperate of each other, while at the same time giving us little bits of hope. It took TEN seasons and I didn't lose my mind like I am here.
What happened to all the parties? these kids are 18, not 30. They're ALL acting too old. I get that they're growing up, but I wasn't such a bore in my senior year.
Also, it seems the writers are totally incapable of giving more than 2 or 3 characters a storyline at a time. Jenny has been filler since episode 12, Nate
