i still miss darena. they were a good couple. when they're together, there's absolutely no reason why dan humphrey should even be on the show. gossip girl was god when it first started, but now it's just ridiculous. I really don't think the relationships are going to save GG at this point. It's honestly the general writing. The introduction of characters and storylines that are burned through in a single episode or two, then discarded.
GG was perfect in season 1 because it seemed to have a single, solid story line that every one of the characters was a part of. The writers are burning through plot lines like crazy. It's annoying.

IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE GOSSIP GIRL ANYMORE.
I've felt this since the season premiere. I am a very loyal viewer and I still love the show, but season one was so amazing and season two is so flat and boring and nothing makes me go "OMFGGGGG!" anymore like in season one. I feel that every episode is just "ehhhh, okay." It hurts me to say this but, nearly every episode in season two is missable. The series is going dooooowwwwnnnn hill. Writers, get us back to season one! The feeeeeling of Gossipg Girl was so much better and stronger then. pleasee save the series before it's toooo late!!

I agree. STAY CLOSER TO THE BOOKS.
I think the show went down when they decided to stop following the book storylines. I mean I know they can't do it exact but come on seriously?!
I hate how they made the focus about chuck and blair when in the books they aren't even friends, eugh. I'll be glad if they put Nate and Blair back together, atleast for a while anyway

Just a quick note, I think I have noticed last episode why people (including me) have a slide dislike of Vanessa's character. And I really don't mean to be rude, sorry, but she is very hard to understand. It's like she hardly opens her mouth while talking, like mumbling. And she seems cool and everything, but strange and not very likable. So sorry to say that.
And for Rufus and Lily, its like we are now tuning into the bold and beautiful rather then a young crazy full of energy show.
I guess, to the topic off story lines, it doesn't really matter what happens NB or BC or NJ or whatever, but what some people said the OMFG moments need to return.
(someone else said, then we just should look on here. well it's kind of in human nature to be curios and look, even if we don't really want to know.)
More parties, wild young times, lots and lots of fashion, scandals, more humor (someone mentioned) and all that crazy life I am not living.

Yes, there are lots of things that definitely need to be fixed and I really hope that the producers are reading all of this, paying attention to what the fans are saying and don´t let Tv´s most innovative show go to waste!
After such a wonderful 1st season, it´s only fair we give them a chance to put the show together again! They have such good actors, producers, writers and all the people involved in the backstage!
Honestly, I find it so futile people who only care about their favorite couples, hate some character (like poor Vanessa)with no reasonable reason and simply stop watching just cause the exact storyline they wanted it´s not happening!
Gossip Girl is so much more than that!! It needs to be seen as a whole, not just minor details.

I think that in the haste of making the characters "grow" they forgot or put aside many of their traits that made us like them or connect to them. Like with Blair... What the hell happened with queen B?, All I see nowadays is the show using her as a friggin punching bag and without a solid reason, like her storyline with Ms.Carr... come on!!!. How much can happen to a girl?. You guys needed her to spiral down so Chuck could have a role reversal and "save" her... well, not going along with the Jack storyline was a miss... and did it ever occur to you that her bulimia could be an interesting issue to expand upon...?.
Then the lame storylines... Ms.Carr...Elle ( pissing off Chair fans without a reason and possibly ruining it for a lot of them, 'cause one of the apealling things about Chair is that Chuck will be tamed and love no other than Blair, and she'll be free and her real self with no other than Chuck), and the unfinished ones or hastly finished ones like Jenny and her fashion car

For all you Vanessa lovers, here is your good news: Many of my friends, just like myself, have already stopped watching the show as soon as NV are back together this season. We don’t like Vanessa. We especially HATE her and Nate together and dislike the ways the two of them treated Jenny. Unlike me, my friends don’t even bother to check the spoilers to see if Vanessa is off the show now. So I guess for all Vanessa lovers, the show is all yours now. We don’t care about or watch the show anymore. Good luck having your wishes fulfilled.
As sad as it may seem, I think the writers have already ruined Chair and, consequently, scared away a lot of viewers, who I'm not sure will watch again season 3 even if C and B end up together at the end of season 2. The game has been so boring that I sometimes wonder if maybe it would have been better to show us Chuck and Blair actually going to the movies. As for the whole "who will she chose" that is going on now, frankly, who cares? There is almost no one who is impartial to whom Blair will end up with, there are either very angry Chair fans or very devoted Nair fans, and neither of them are going to be hooked up: we will have a lot of Chair fans skipping episodes because they can't stand Nair or deluded Nair fans rightfully angry because their couple is "used" towards Chair. Am I saying that all the show's problems are connected to C and B? Frankly, yes. I have read many threads stating that we don't have to concentrate only on those two characters, but the writers have done such

Okay.
After the canadian promo. I have to ask how having C say Elle is the most beautiful girl ever and him kissing Vanessa twice are supposed to make us feel his "love" for Blair.
The reason people fell in love with CB is because Chuck pursued her consistantly and was in awe with everything she was doing. These days it only seems that what we see is Chuck rejecting Blair. In fact, in all their make-outs this season it's Chuck who puts a stop to it except that time where LM interrupts them.
Robbing people of CB as a couple AFTER a whole season of build-up is one of the worst possible move and an obvious turn off to the network.
Also insisting on having Vanessa around and stealing all the guys for SB when she's the most hated character is an obvious WTF to the viewers...
As a Blair fan, I have to say the show has almost become unwatchable. When S isn't stealing the spotlight from B,she loses her dream school for the most stupid reasons ever. When the minions aren't betrayin

I'm in Australia, and I have just caught up with America's episodes, so I haven't felt the full brunt of the six week hiatus. However, I would think that this could factor in GG's reducing ratings.
I think that for me anyway, Gossip Girl has retained interest, merely in the fact that I will watch the show until Blair and Chuck are resolved in some way. Preferably they should be together, but I think something solid needs to be made about their relationship, because the whole 'I want you/I don't want you/I love you/I hate you' business is just getting tiresome. I actually I am excited at the prospect of Nate and Blair, despite being all for Chair, because I think Nate would be good for her at this point in time, because he represents stability to an extent (in fact, sometimes he is so stable to the point of boring). The long hiatus takes a toll, the breaks should be shorter. Chuck and Blair should be together. Dan and Serena may need to explore other relatioships. The Lily Rufus dynamic should be kept alive and made more interesting, I think they can add a lot more to the show just like Sandy and Kristin Cohen did on the OC. It will be interesting to see how everyone takes to their love child when he finally arrives and how he deals with life on the upper east side. Sure, there are some things that I'm sick of seeing or I don't like seeing but that's just how it is. We can't all make the show what we want it to be. I guess what I want to see in Gossip Girl is a lot more "spice". They should expand their stories. Make the characters more bolder, more intriguing. Make everything interesting and juicy. Something that would make the viewers stare and say 'OMFG'
