Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Calzona, MerDer & Much More!
Our favorite show is finally back on the air with a new episode this Thursday and as a result, Grey's Anatomy spoilers abound in E! Online's weekly spoiler Q&A session.
Are Cristina and Owen done? What's the latest on MerDer? How is Izzie doing? Will we see anything new with Callie and Arizona? Without further ado, here goes:
Q: Please tell me more about Meredith and Derek on Grey's Anatomy!
A: Thatcher Grey is not in the hospital because his oldest daughter is getting married. He wants to make amends: He's been sober, and he's working on his steps.
Q: Please give us something about Callie and Arizona on Grey's Anatomy. They have had so little airtime, and we want to know about their relationship. Please tell me there's more to come.
A: Arizona meets Callie's dad (played by guest star Hector Elizondo) in Thursday's episode, and he doesn't take the news of their relationship terribly well. In fact, when Callie's dad tries to get her to move home and she refuses, he cuts off her trust fund.
Q: How's Izzie doing on Grey's Anatomy?
A: As it turns out, cancer is really, really painful. Sigh. Poor Izz.
Q: Any news on when Cristina and Owen will reunite on Grey's Anatomy?
A: Unfortunately not anytime soon. Owen doesn't have time for Cristina anymore (what with his newfound interest in turning George into a trauma surgeon). Actually, to be more specific, Owen's therapist doesn't let Owen have time for her.
Yep, Owen's shrink has given him a specific list of three-word sentences he can say to Yang, but "I love you" is not one of them. Either way, Cristina is not a happy camper.
Q: Got any more Grey's Anatomy scoop?
A: Yes, and it comes from Kellie Martin of ER and Life Goes On fame. Kelly pops up on the small screen in May on both Ghost Whisperer and Grey's Anatomy.
"On Ghost Whisperer, I play a director of a soap opera, and I'm being haunted," Kellie says. "And on Grey's Anatomy, all I can say is that I don't play a patient, and I don't play a doctor. We have to respect the Grey's Anatomy cone of silence. They're very secretive. It's not integral to the crazy rumors going around right now, though."

Poor Callie. I can't wait to see how Hector will impact their relationship. I think Shonda should have waited another episode to reintroduce Hector and give Callie and Arizona some time to bond. We don't really know anything about their relationship yet so it seems a bit rushed.
It would indeed be an interesting twist if Cristina would find out that the Chief is Mer's dad. Can't wait !!!!!!!

Thank you so much for saying that out loud. I thought I was the only one in the world that saw that in season 1. The Chief being Mer's REAL DAD!!! That, to me would be an owesome storyline.
I can and have wrapped my mind around that idea. I thought it was going to come out when the diaries were discovered. I also thought Cristina would be the one to find out first.

George airtime always makes me happy, but I want Gizzie airtime too.
Calzona is really cute. I still can,t stand Lexie or Mexie though. So annoying!

yay Georgetime! Ahh I loved Callie's scene! I am really liking Calzona :)
Owen and Dr. Wyatt just kind of depressed me. I realized though that he is still calling her his girlfriend. I don't think their over :)
Izzie's scene was kinda scary. I think Shonda is writing to KH when she says "Izzie stevens will wish she were dead" Ouch. but I love the way she says "Mer's wedding" SO CUTE :)
Omg you can so tell Chyler leigh is preggers! She is glowing like the sun and eating all the time. You can tell she is hiding a baby bump behind that X-ray :)

I definately think one or more of Derek's 4 sisters are coming to town...Kellie Martin for sure and possibly the other Kelly too!

George airtime yay. So he is going to be a trauma surgeon interesting?
I am a Mallie fan but I am loving Calzona, a lot more than Slexiepuke.
They work well together.
I also LOVE Cristina and Owen so much.
Now if I could get some GI friendship scenes, I'd be one happy customer. George and Izzie both need to stay. They are my favorites.

Actually, underwear in spanish is Calzon. What you mean is that it reminds you of the word but saying that the word Calzona is underwear is inaccurate. So technically, it's fine.
I agree that it sounds like the word but Calzona does not mean underwear.
