I don't think that E! Online knows anything for sure, but based on spoilers and speculation, they think that Katherine Heigl will stay at least through part of next season. Whic means that the cancer may go into remission, but now the producers can always bring the cancer back if she should start acting up again (I'm sure that they are getting that from the fact that KH said she wants to stay with Greys). If KH stays, I think that she may not still be very ill with cancer, but it will still be part of her storyline.
They also guess that TR will be leaving and his exit storyline will be that he goes into the military in some medical capacity, but that his contract may state that he will be obligated to come back a few times in the next couple of season.
I don't think that Kristen or Ausiello knows anything for a fact. They are just guessing based on promo pics, casting sides and what Shonda says like the rest of us.

can someone please tell me what this means for izzie? i guess im not quite understanding....is she leaving, or does that mean the cancer storyline is over?

Since Izzie is planning the wedding "she may or may not be able to have" Meredith is doing what she wants because its her dying wish... but that wedding isn't Meredith and Derek... it's not at all like them... so maybe Alex changes things up and offers to surprise Izzie and make it their wedding... and MerDer decide to get married somewhere small... in a courtroom or something... maybe in this episode, maybe at the end of the season?

I'm hoping that George isn't leaving. But we need to remember that these are only theories and they don't always mean squat. I'd like to see T.R. play other roles besides George O'Malley, but I really love how he brought George to life and I love that role. But anyway, maybe things will work out in his and his fans' favors.
I hope Izzie's cancer does go into remission. That'd be wonderful. But once again, these are only theories. Nobody needs to get worked up until things are absolutely official.
I love the new storyline for George though :-) I love that he's going to show people how great of a doctor he is and prove the naysayers wrong. That's my George!
Hopefully we'll get some Gizzie scenes... I miss their friendship so much.

Thanks iheartizzie for the "Go George!" Can't wait to see George in a storyline-- and not just any storyline but one that shows what a kick *ss doc he really is!!
I agree with Kristen about the points about Izzie and possible remission.
As for the wedding, I do hope it's MerDer.
I really can't deal with the thought that TR is leaving. I don't want my George to go ANYWHERE!!!! I'm still hoping that he doesn't actually go or that whether or not he goes is a cliffhanger at the season finale and in reality, he will really be back next season.
And Shonda & Co.-- in the coming days, can you please NOT FORGET who Izzie's best friend is??? thanks.

I so agree Iheartmer/der - my first thought when reading this is Alex & Izzie are getting married - wayyyy too soon after the engagement of mer/der to get a wedding in there... But I am thinking in real life, not grey's world... stranger things have happened. I think the Alex/Izzie wedding could push George out of the picture...

I think that Shonda is going to keep at her word games, and try everything possible to trick us, and keep us guessing, until the finale. I don't believe that Izzie is in remission, but I also don't believe that she is dying. Also, cancer does not go into remission over night... you have to be cancer free for a considerable amount of time for it to even be CONSIDERED remission...

i think izzie`s cancer isnt in remission. they say its a "theory", that its a possibility that the story line will go that way. i wish both her and george will stay in the show!!

no more brain cancer means no more denny...CRAP...and why would they give her cancer in three ~kinda important~ places and not kill her.....maybe they could have stopped at skin cancer if she was going to recover in 2 weeks.....im just saying....seems like overkill to not actually kill her...lol...anyway...BRING BACK DEAD DENNY!! hahaha...

i think that izzie plans merders wedding then something goes wrong and izzie and alex get married!!!!!! but i REEEEEEEALLY hope that george doesn't go to the army!!!!!!!!

Izzie's cancer has gone into resession?? Does that mean that the whole storyline that has been building all season is already over!?!
But it does sound as if George is gone for good..I highly doubt he will make many guest appearences after the whole saga that has been going on..
and judging by recent posts..I reckon Katherine Heigel will be here to stay..sounds like Shonda and the rest of the writers are playing with her..just to annoy her for what she has done. But I dont actually think they would say goodbye to Izzie..she such a popular and loved character..
