Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Thatcher's Return, Wedding Update

by at . Comments

How will the return of Thatcher Grey (Jeff Perry) in this week's episode play out for Meredith and Lexie, who just endured the feuding of their significant others last week?

Check out this excerpt from TV Guide's spoiler Q&A today and see what you think ...

Q: I adored all of the "McFamily" scenes last week on Grey's Anatomy. What's next for Mark, Lexie, Meredith and Derek?

A: For Mark and Lexie, much cuteness is on the immediate horizon. I mean, as much as Thatcher Grey makes my skin crawl, the way things play out when he returns is better than I expected.

For Mer and Der, there's the none-too-small matter of a stern ultimatum coming from the bride. As that gets sorted out, the would-be marrieds will find cause to fast-track their wedding, so get to updating that website, Izzie!

Like I had said in earlier posts and Daedra said now, I don't think a McBaby would be good for this show. I agree that it would be absolutely adorable but since Mer is the main character, her baby would have play a big part in the show. And with so many characters (we already complain that some characters do not get enough attention), there would be simply no time for a baby storyline. Most of the scenes take place in the hospital, how would a baby fit in there?

I just stared at the promo pic FOREVEVER and it definitely looks like someone is wearing scrubs.....could be george...OMG i can't wait

It is def. not Derek. Mer would be having a meltdown like she did in the Season Premier if it was Derek

It can't be Derek on the gurney. He would have to be wearing dark blue scrubs like Owen's. His scrubs are light blue just like Meredith's and Callie's. So it might be George after all...

I agree, I think that she's gonna be pregnant, and I hope that they announce it this season. Plus I hope that merder get married this seaon.

I cant see Cristina being pregnante again. There is not a very good chance of her being able to after she lost a fallopian tube. But Mer should def. b preggers.:) :) :)

That would be way crazy if it was Cristina that's pregnant because it would be Owen's baby....how messed up is that???
He's all broken and crap and she's now dark and twisty from her near-death experience.....a baby would be nuts

oh, and if that is George on the gurney.... OMG, I hope not!

I don't know what to think is coming anymore! Kudos to Shonda and Co.-- for as much as we think we "know", I think most of what is going to come in the next few epis is still a secret...

I also remember that Mer and Der have been talking about babies this season.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Lexie: [narrating] Grief may be a thing we all have in common, but it looks different on everyone.
Mark: It isn't just death we have to grieve. It's life. It's loss. It's change.
Alex: And when we wonder why it has to suck so much sometimes, has to hurt so bad. The thing we gotta try to remember is that it can turn on a dime.
Izzie: That's how you stay alive. When it hurts so much you can't breathe, that's how you survive.
Derek: By remembering that one day, somehow, impossibly, you won't feel this way. It won't hurt this much.
Bailey: Grief comes in its own time for everyone, in its own way.
Owen: So the best we can do, the best anyone can do, is try for honesty.
Meredith: The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grief is that you can't control it.
Arizona: The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes.
Callie: And let it go when we can.
Meredith: The very worst part is that the minute you think you're past it, it starts all over again.
Cristina: And always, every time, it takes your breath away.
Meredith: There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us, but there are always five.
Alex: Denial.
Derek: Anger.
Bailey: Bargaining.
Lexie: Depression.
Richard: Acceptance.
