It will be Izzie and Alex. Spoilers are that Izzie's mom will be on the show the last 2 episodes, I bet she is coming in for the wedding.

My guess it will be Alex and Izzie who get married on the 100th episode. Shonda Rhimes has said that the episode takes place on Mer/Der's wedding day, but we all know there will be a twist and it is supposedly Izzie's dying wish to plan Mer/Der's wedding - the wedding she "may or may not ever have"...so I bet after Izzie plans her dream wedding for Mer/Der, Mer/Der will end up letting Izzie and Alex get married so that even if Izzie dies she will at least have had her dream wedding. At least that is what I'm guesssing...

I'm thinking what's going to happen is something similar to Derek's proposal - they're all going to be ready for the wedding and it's going to almost be happening, but then suddenly, Izzie suffers a dramatic complication and the doctors need to focus on her. When they find out there's nothing they can do now to save her and that she has a limited time left, Alex gives in to his feelings and proposes. Now, MerDer aren't really in the mood to get married right then, considering they just found out their friend is going to die, BUT, since the wedding venue (whether it be a chapel, Derek's land, etc.) is already set up, they decide to let Izzie and Alex take advantage of the moment and get married instead.

Izzie and Alex might be just as predictable as Mer and Der *(which we know isn't happening- ta Shonda!)*

As much as I want to see Meredith and Derek tie the knot on May 7th, I agree with others that its too short of an engagement. I do think that the probability of Lexie and McSteamy getting hithched is higher. I read somewhere that the actress who plays Lexie is pregnant, and I kind of got the feeling from the last cpl episodes that their relationship was getting pretty serious. Maybe an unplanned pregnancy will prompt a last minute marriage!

haha. i think it would totally be alex & izzie.
it's reasonable.
& she'll probably have some newfound respect for life or something after this experience.
&& alex already has this idea in his head of his life with izzie -- children & everything. aww that'd be cute.
just the thought of meredith & derek not getting married devastates me. that's.. bogus.
i mean this was the main storyline. for the entire series. they can't do that.
you don't just mess with marriage like this.
come on, now.

PLEASE FOR THE SAKE of god, let der and mer get married. It is about freakin time. They are meant to be. We already saw Christina get her heart brokern and Burk leaving SUCKED. Der and Mer need to tie the freaking knot

Izzie can't get married with Alex. In season 2, she said Denny she was not, not anymore with Alex and she won't never, never again be with him.
Afterwards, she said Alex it was over ; she broke up with Alex because he was no good for her. She said that in his very best days, this corpse ( "Denny" ) was twice the man Alex will ever be ...
So Izzie and Alex getting married is RIDICULOUS......

Ok....Shonda said that she pitches the LAST episode of every season before she even writes the first one. Having said that, she said that everything in Episode 1 of Season 5 (Dream a little Dream of Me) comes full circle by the end of the season. If you look at the end of the episode it shows Izzie looking at Alex with another woman and then her imagining Denny on the night that he died. She asked him "Do you like my dress?" and he responds "You look better than a bride." SOOOOOO....I think that either Izzie and Alex will get married...or Izzie dies and Izzie and Denny get married in their afterlife. Just a few thoughts trying to put the pieces together. I really hope that MerDer gets married sometime soon and Shonda doesn't drag this engagement out for 5 MORE seasons! Regardless, it would be really nice to see a wedding actually take place on Grey's. We had a teaser on the Season Finale of Season 3...but 5 seasons...and no weddings! Come on Shonda! Give us something GOOOOOOO

The dress is interchangable between Mer/Iz (there's talk of one dress). A dream squence would revisit the first 2 epiosdes of this season, so it could be Izzie dreaming cos she knows she's not going to be there. Something will happen to delay a MerDer wedding, after all the proposal took 6? epiosdes to occur. I think George will become a military Dr so he can be written out of the series too.

at first i thought maybe it could be mark/lexie, because i read some spoilers that said the couple who gets married will be surprising, but i don't think so anymore because chyler leigh is pregnant, and it might be hard to cover it up if they get married. i think it will either be merder or alex and izzie. i kinda hope its alex and izzie, but i think either would be awesome!

hi!!
i was checking out the pics for the the wedding... and what caught my attention was that the bridal gown meredith was wearing didn't fit her at all...unless she was trying it out for the bride.....but i honestly think it won't be a merder union at this point....not that i wouldn't want that though...

if merder go happily ever after, then there will be nothing left to write about. if theres no drama between the two then the show is boring...like when derek threw the ring and you thought they were gonna break up EVERYONE was on the edge of their seat waiting for next week... get what i'm saying? if they are all happy in love then the show is BORING.

I think Izzie will be helping Mer plan her and Derek's wedding, then Mer will freak out and say this is not what I want (because she won't want it to be such a big deal) so she will suggest to Izzie that she and Alex have this big wedding instead. Then Mer/Der will elope to Hawaii over the summer hiatus and season 6 opener will show them arriving home from their wedding/honeymoon trip.
You can tell I've been thinking a lot about this!!!

AS much as I want MerDer to be together, I worry that as soon as they get them married, the writers will start to break them up. I'm ok with them having a LONG engagement.
Alex and Izzie can get hitched May 7th!

i love grey's anatomy and i have watch MerDer from the start .i was looking forward to the fact that MerDer would be getting married and now i have read that they may not be i am really fed up . and may even stop watching . why not give use something good to look forward to .

i think that merideth and derek should get married i dont want izzie and alex in the way. but if they are not getting married my first choice would be alex and izzie. both ways it would be the best episode ever.
