Just as long as she does NOT get in the middle of Mer and Der's relationship, she can be whoever she wants, as far as I'm concerned ;)

She might be a younger sister of AZ's or she might be another love interest for Callie or AZ. Or maybe even a new story line for George:) There are so many possibilities. But she is probably a sister to Izzy. I don't think that she is Derricks sister though. His one sister that I've seen has dark hair and dark features. She is probably Izzy's sister and turns out to be trailer trash like Izzy's mother.

huh, I was thinking Izzie's daughter, but she does look a little too old. And I don't think she'll be a patient because that's nothing worth keeping under raps about...I would guess sister to Izzie or Alex, although Derek's daughter would be a good twist. Didn't we read something about learning about Derek and it would be big or something?? I can't remember....

Meredith was like 5 when she moved to Boston (because it was after the carousel fight), There is no way she would not remember her mother being pregnant and with Ellis Grey being such a renowned surgeon, her being pregnant would have made it through the grapevine.

She has to be Izzy's sister...they even look a bit alike...and the rumor with Mer's new releative is its a half brother her mother had with Richard. Richard doesn't know he exists because Mer's mom had him after they broke up and she moved to Boston and she gave him up for adoption because it was too painful with him being Richards child....

I think she's way too young to play one of Derek's sisters. Isn't he the younger of 5 children? Maybe one of his nieces would be more likely...
My bet is that she'll be a patient...

Last time we saw Izzie's daughter, she was only 11. Only 1 or 2 years have passed by in Seattle Grace since then, and the actress looks too mature to be acting as a 13 year old.
So...no I don't think she'll be Izzie's daugther.

Maybe she is Izzie's half sister. Theory - Through surgeries the team at Seattle Grace will remove all signs of cancer; succesfully putting Izzie into remission. Once there they will decide that her only chance for a future will be to undergo a stem cell transplant. The long lost step sister will be a match and become the stem cell donor for Izzie.
