If it's Alex and Izzie getting married then that means Izzie will die. Alex is not the good husband type character so if they get married it will end up being that cliche tv soap-drama thing where two protaganists face various difficulties then finally get married and are blissfully happy then one dies. meredith and derek won't get married until the series finale, otherwise there would be no interesting storyline, unless they get divorced or something, because i doubt either of them would get killed off.

Double wedding is just a bit too cheesy. I don't think Shonda is the type to do something like that.
It is possible that AI gets married in the 100th and MerDer do in the finale. However, it is also entirely possibly that MerDer don't get married and have a baby instead. I think Shonda and the writers might be worried that getting MerDer hitched might end up killing their characters.

What do you think are the chances of a double wedding? Someone sent me something about Shonda taping different things to keep people guessing. It seems to be working with the rumors and everything. I just never that about this being a posibility.

To be quite honest, I've always thought it was ridiculous how Denny was portrayed as Izzie's great love or "soul mate" or whatever cos I don't think he is.
I mean, the only time wherein they had any interaction at all was when he was in the hospital. When Denny was admitted the first time and was released, why didn't they date outside the hospital back then? I think the environment, the situation and just everything else is what influenced them to come together and fall in love, but it doesn't necessarily mean that should love would've lasted if Denny lived. The only reason it has lasted for as long as it has is because Denny died, and they never got a chance to really get to know one another as two people normally do. And as someone pointed out, Izzie can project all her fantasies and dreams towards Denny and think only the best of him because she's never really gotten to know him all that well. It is very clear that the weddingdress isn't meant to be worn by Meredith! Firstly it is not her style, secondly it looks to big and illfitted on her (especially in front), much like a little girl looks funny when wearing her mothers heels! There is only one person, that dress would look great on, and that person is Izzie! It fits her bodytype, stature, height, tein etc..
And the fact that Izzie, an complete opposite to dark Meredith, is actually planning Merediths wedding is a nother clue as to the fact, that Meredith will wed Derek at the courthouse, whereas Izzie and Alex will make use of Meredith adn Dereks reserved date at the church and get married themselves!

Just saw some pics from the "wedding". Looks like Justin Chambers is the only one wearing a tux. I would be soo excited if Alex & Izzie tied the knot!

From the pics, it seems like it was a very windy day in LA. So her hair was unkempt. I don't think that braids were too bad, but it could have definitely been done a lot better. The idea itself wasn't horrible, but the execution of the plan... I personally love her wavy hair and those bangs (if that's what they're supposed to be :)) But, lately, her hair isn't on the top of the task.
Oh, and I hate when she dyes her hair, it's way better with her natural color.

Izzie is the only one who is NOT dressed yet so she is DEFINITELY the one getting married.
I love how T.R. is helping Ellen out of the car...so cute. P. Demp looks gorgeous as ever in his shorter hair but I hate Ellen's hair...the braids are ugly. Whoever is doing her hair lately is doing a crappy job.

there's going to be an AI wedding on may 7, it could be just a dream or it could be that merder is giving way to alex' or izzie's request to be wed..but it doesn't mean we are not getting any merder wedding...i didn't like mer and der to get married that soon, cause then it might mean less screentime for our fave couple..lol..let it be thursday, better yet let it be thursday everyday..=)

Just to add, in these pics, Chyler Leigh seems like she is pregnant. I know that the actor was pregnant (I think she got the baby, right?), but I thought they're not gonna put that in show. And I don't understand, if she got the baby, and they are filming this epi now, how is it possible?
Maybe she just seems pregnant to me, and she actually isn't she was with Sara Ramirez in that pic, if you have a chance, tell me what you think.
And I noticed that almost all of the female characters are wearing long black coats. I suppose they don't want us to see the dresses, but we do. ;)

OK, couple of things.
First, I looked at the pics that galover gave us the link for, and there is a picture of Eric Dane in pretty clothes. What I noticed first is that he did something with his hair (it's brown) and second, he is passing next to something that looks like a trailer (you can see only a part of it) and in one corner it has "Izzie" written on it!!
I don't know what should that mean, maybe it's a trailer where she grew up...
Second, I saw TR Knight on the pics, with Katherine Heigl.
If he is supposed to leave for army, I really don't get it how is Shonda gonna put that in one epi. I guess that it's gonna be 2 hours finale (with all the comercials :(( but again, how can she put that whole storyline in one epi???

Yeah, Izzie can be reunited with Denny her soul mate and then once they really get to know each other outside of the hospital they realize that they don't really like each other but they didn't know that before because they only spent a month together.

It's make so much sense from the pictures. Mer is not gonna marry in a purple dress and Ellen walks around in it (even though with a jacket) because it's just a bride's maid dress. Katherine is still in her street clothes, because no way could she go anyway in a big white wedding dress, because someone might see her- like the spoiler above proved! But WHY did that woman not take a photo??? well, I am sooo happy that it's a Izzie-Alex wedding :D

As for the wedding...this is crap. I really don't think that Alex and Izzie are ready to get married but whatever makes KH happy right? I really wish that they'd waited for Izzie to get better and have a steady, non sick, Denny free relationship but it was too much to ask.
Although it might've been a blessing in the skies. This wouldn't have been very MerDer: a big church, the entire traditional thing. ELOPE ELOPE ELOPE. Although the scenery of them leaving Izzie's wedding or maybe later, in the SF, going to City Hall making it official and getting away to their honeymoon sounds good. Maybe perfect.
