No Return to Castle Planned for Darby Stanchfield

Fans of Castle enjoyed the recent appearance of Rick's ex-wife on the show.

But they shouldn't count on another Helen sighting any time soon.

TV Guide reports that actress Darby Stanchfield - who has appeared on other hit shows such as Mad Men, The Mentalist and Private Practice, isn't signed on to return any time soon. She may be back at some point, however, assuming Castle earns a second season pick-up.

Rest easy, Castle: Helen won't be in your life for awhile.

Coming Up on Lie to Me: More on Lightman's Family

A dedicated Lie to Me viewer posed a question to TV Guide this week:

When, if ever, will fans find out what happened between Dr. Cal Lightman and his ex-wife? What about the state of Dr. Foster's marriage?

Cal, Ex-Wife

In response, who better to turn to than star Tim Roth? He replied that we'll need to keep an eye on event that take place during the season's penultimate episode, airing May 6.

During that installment, the team tries to stop a serial rapist and "it kind of builds into some very strange areas," Roth said. "You're going to find out about Foster. You're going to find more about me and Jennifer, and my daughter."

Mekhi Phifer also makes his series debut on that episode.

30 Rock Promo Goof: Tina Gets Played?

Anyone who's both listened to Tina Fey speak and heard weekly doses of Liz Lemon quotes knows it can be hard to distinguish between the fictional 30 Rock character and the former Saturday Night Live writer who created and portrays her.

We just wouldn't expect NBC to mix them up in the promo department.

Starring as the head writer of a sketch comedy show (sounds familiar), Tina Fey has managed to bring home nine Emmys as Liz Lemon over the past two years. She's apparently so convincing in this role that NBC considers them one and the same.

In this week's Must-See TV spot hyping NBC's Thursday-night lineup, the announcer confuses the star for her character, declaring, "Tina gets played in an all-new 30 Rock."

Seriously. Check it out below:

Rick Springfield to Appear on Californication

Rick Springfield is set to guest star on Californication in a role he ought to know very well:

Himself.

According to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, the singer/actor will appear on four episodes of Californication's third season, which airs this fall.

Rick Springfield

Earlier this month, producers of the Showtime series put out a casting call looking for "an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80's to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by."

Enter Springfield, previously seen on General Hospital. He'll reportedly take part in a bit of "tasteful nudity" and "simulated sex" on the show.

Millions of soap opera followers and "Jessie's Girl" listeners just screamed their lungs out.

Fringe Scoop: The Final Few Episodes

The cast and producers of Fringe gathered at Paley Fest last week.

At the event, the group dished on a number of season one topics, taking note of events to come over the next few weeks.

Executive Producer Roberto Orci, on the season finale: "We were saving so many juicy secrets for years and years, and we're actually going to stick a bunch of them in the finale. That may be the worst idea ever, but we're doing it."

Anna Torv, on the season finale: "The last couple of episodes are very exciting. You get to the bottom of Harris (Michael Gaston) - there are a couple of surprises—and Jones (Jared Harris) comes back, and you find out something that I didn't expect. And we meet William Bell!"

Joshua Jackson, on the season finale: "The episodes that we're in right now are about clarifying why it is that Olivia is so important to the FBI and understanding why Olivia specifically - not any other cop - got chosen for that job."

Olivia and Peter Pic

John Noble, on relationship between Walter and William Bell: "When Walter refers to William Bell, he doesn't do it nastily, he always says 'Belly and I did this or did that.' He hasn't got a grudge against him."

Jackson, on revelations about his character: "It is actually, if I may say so, shocking. It radically changes the understanding of the character. I don't play it... It happens somewhere else with other characters, but information is revealed."

Orci, on Anna's abilities: "Does she have superpowers? It depends on what you mean by super. She could have powers that we could all discover within ourselves. Or she may be going crazy."
