Him not showing up for work was a rumor that was denied by three of his castmates and the show.
They also didn't say he refused to act because his story was stupid. They said he walked out because he hated how Brooke was fired.
Those same mags call patrick a diva who is jealous of Kevin McKidd and keeps threatening to quit if he doesn't get the lead time. They also call Ellen Pompeo a diva.
I don't buy this stuff. Aussiello, Kristen, Matt, they all said TR just wanted a storyline, any storyline, so do you think TR would honestly refuse a story?
My guess is TR got mad at them for firing Brooke and took them to task for it, and that is when all his stories got cut. The timing fits very well, because it is after Brooke left, that all his stories were suddenly dropped. If this was just about Gexie, they would have given him another story but he got nothing. Shonda didn't appreciate Tr pointing out to her just how disgusting her treatment of Brooke was, but that is TR for you.

well i remember back in november it said that he refused to act because he thought his storyline was stupid....and that was RIGHT after him and lexie didn't become a couple so it wasn't like he didn't have enough screentime then. if t.r. wanted to stay on greys anatomy then why wont he stand up for himself and fight with his fans? we haven't heard one word from him, thats because he wants out...and he wants to do broadway or whatever it was lol.... and when did melissa george call shonda that? i don't think that happened....

I couldn't stand the thought of him dead.

Shonda is the one not using him at all. Aussiello said she has haad it in for him since IW left.
Of course, I blame her.
Now she is playing games with him to make him sweat all summer.
That is sick.
Geoirge makes me laugh. He is the best, and the fans love him. Does Shonda care? NO!

Hey im not a big george fan but i seriously wouldn like greys without him. Ppl say we shouldn blame shonda but seriously who should we blame then?? I mean its her show she decides wat happens 2 da characters. If george leaves who's gonna bring humor 2 da show, like seriously who else is there 2 make us laugh. Who's gonna be iz's friend. I think they should reali give him a storyline. I at first didnt like the idea of him nd lexie but if thats wat makes him stay so b it. There's so much they can do with his character. Mayb lexi CAN FINALLY REALISE SHE'S NOT IN2 MARK ND U NO HOOK UP WITH GEORGE. Shonda's bringing all these random new ppl, y doesnt she kick them off. U no like lexie i still dont get da point of her character. Did they jus bring her 2 irritate mer. I think we should actually vote:who should go lexie or george?? I say lexie!

George is HOT and not in a little brother sort of way, as in I want to eat him up sort of way.
I'd date him and sleep with him over all the guys on the show. He has an adorable smile, wonderful expressive eyes, hot hot hands and the cutest butt on the show.
And man, he is also the best kisser. The way his hands went down Izzie's neck and whole body in that elevator kiss, drools.
George maybe sweet, but I would want him as so much more than a little brother.
Gizzie was the best and hottest couple ever created.
I don't want to wish TR well.
I know he wants to stay so In want that idiot Shonda to give him a story, so he stays.
He leaves, and I never watch again. That simple. I won't watch without the sweetest, hottest and funniest man on the show.
I don't think that we will ever know exactly what is going on with Shonda and TR. I have heard that Shonda is being vindictive and I have also heard that TR has been disruptive behind the scenes. I'm sure that in the end it is a combination of both.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I can't WAIT for the E! True Hollywood Story - Grey's Anatomy Edition!
despite his lack of a storyline or lines whatsoever
he needs to stay
i think the show would change quote a lot if her left, i mean....he's one of the original fab 5 interns
it would be weird without him
and yes, ok, i didn't like him when he cheated on callie and all but going back a bit earlier and even near the end of season 4, you can't help but love george because he really was adrable in a little brother sort of way
and he was making so much progresss...after all the inappropriate sex and vegas wedding and the cheating and the failing the intern exam
george was making progress and he just can't go
but if he does, i'll wish T.R. the best in whatever he does choose to do....

Melissa George was right. Shonda is a vindictive witch.
So she is going to be playing head games with both Katie and TR to get back at them?
That woman should be sacked.
I hated this season too. I never realized before how much George contributes to my enjoyment of the show.
He makes all those other characters tolerable.
What an awful season this has been.
Needless to say, like many here, I won't be watching without him.

I have hated this season. It has been so dark and grey. George brings the bright and shiny.
From every account I have heard, Shonda is the one to blame here.
She has been treating TR badly since the IW incident.
That is what Aussiello said in his article. He said Shonda was purposely keeping TR in the dark about his fate to torture him all summer long.
I am sorry but that is unprofessional and cruel.
The one thing I learned this season without George is Grey is awful without him.
I won't be watching and I know many people won't too.
The show has lost its magic. They kill off George, they kill the heart of the show.
This is all Shonda's fault and I'll never forgive her. She has ignored us George fans all season, and she did the same to Gizzie and Gexie fans.

idk what the hell is going on, but i do not think its all shonda's fault, and i also think T.R isn't a little angel on the set either. I don't think Shonda is gonna "torture" george, thats ridiculous. this show has more drama off set than on set.
non the less, george is a great character, i won't stop watching if he leaves though, but thats only because he's hardly been on this whole season and i've LOVED this season!
I hope all the George fans vote so Shonda can see how much we love him.

TR stays or I leave.
Seeing George always makes me happy. I missed him all season. He can't die.
If he dies, not only do I never see his beautiful face again, but he and Izzie will never share any scenes again. They make the show worthwhile for me.

George makes Grey magic. That is why this season has been so magicless.
I love George. Everyone i know loves George. I am beyond angry that Shonda continues to ignore what we want. TR wants to stay, all he is asking for is some RESPECT and a story like every other character is getting. Even the interns are getting stories.
I want Shonda to let go of her grudge against TR and let us have him back.
TR didn't say he wanted to stay because the journalists keep asking Katie, and not one of them is bothering to ask TR if he wants to stay or not.

Most of my friends quit when they ended Gizzie.
I almost did, but I stuck around for George. And for what? They acted like their wonderful love story was a mistake, reunited AI which I HATE, and scrapped their friendship. George was never even shown at all. The extras, the interns, the guest stars, they all got more airtime than him.
I don't think any character in the history of the show ever got treated as horribly or had less airtime.
So yes, dear Andie, George leaves and I am done with Grey.
Shonda obviously hates TR for whatever reason, maybe because she had to fire her best homophobe friend IW and she was just waiting for the people to forget about this so she could punish TR for it so nobody would scream homophobia.
She is the one who is treating him so bad he wants to leave.
I refuse to shut up and just let her push one of the best actor and most wonderful character off the show without saying a word.
The HUGE majority of fans adore George. We have begged al

Yes they do have to write George an amazing storyline, but even if they don't, keeping George could never be a bad decision.
Not keeping him would be the biggest mistake ever.
I wouldn't watch without him and neither would a lot of people. And no, I am not saying that.
I have lost most of my love for Grey and while I like some characters fine, George is the only one I LOVE enough to stick around to watch the show for.
I have a busy life, and having one hour back of my life would be good.
I stick around out of loyalty for TR and for the amazingness that is George.
I always love George. All my favorite scenes, even this season, involve George.
And Gizzie is my favorite couple and friendship of all time.
No George, no me. I mean it more than I ever meant anything, but hey Shonda can test me if she wants. Let's see if I don't leave or not.

George is more than just a character to me. He is the entire soul of the show. This season's show lacked humanity most of the time, but the minute he shows up on screen, that humanity is there.
He makes this show have a soul. It might be called Grey's anaotmy, but to me George is what makes Grey must-see TV.
He is the character the majority of the fans see themselves in.
He is the character most of us want to have the happy ending.
TR is only unhappy because Shonda refuses to write for him, so yes, you are damn right I blame Shonda.
Most people I talked to blame her.

All the other characters have had plenty of stories too. Mer, izzie and Cristina had more stories than anyone. Alex has had plenty of story with his abusive dad, his romance with Izzie, his affair with Ava, him rocking all the surgeries.
George is the one who has had nothing to do for two years now. Of all the fab 5 mmembers, he had less screen time than everyone else.
He had stories in season 3 and that is all.
It is time for him to get a chance to shine, to find true love and to have his own story.
He hasn't had one in forever.
The other characters has had more than their chance to shine.
I don't care whatsoever for any of the other characters.
George is the one that makes me care about Izzie and Lexie. The other characters I don't like.
So yes, I will absolutely stop watching this show if he leaves.
I swear that on any pack of bibles I can find.
George is the glue. George is the best guy in the world.
