Two New Grey's Anatomy Guest Stars Lined Up
The list of Grey's Anatomy guest stars keeps on growing.
According to EW, Shonda Rhimes has tapped both Everwood's Debra Mooney and Gilmore Girls' Liza Weil to guest star in the show's two-hour Season Five finale on May 14.
Debra Mooney will play mom to Kevin McKidd's emotionally tormented Owen Hunt, while Liza Weil will appear as a cancer patient who crosses paths with Izzie Stevens.
Interesting piece of trivia: Weil, whose sublime work as Rory's acid-tongued BFF on Gilmore Girls turned many a frown upside down, has ties to Rhimes' other show, Private Practice; her real-life husband is the equally awesome Paul Adelstein (Cooper).

Ooh, I'm excited.
The only reason I know Liza Weil is because she's Paul Adelstein's wife (and Paul Adelstein is awesome! :3) XD.
I wish we didn't have such a long wait for the next episode T_T

I love Gilmore Girls and LOVE fanfics from Greys and Gilmore. But ive always wanted a crossover, so this is the closest ill get. I just hope theyll keep Paris/Lizas personality from Gilmore

I can't wait!!! Gilmore Girls was my all time favorite show untill i started watching grey's anatomy. I loved Paris!!! I don't want the season to be over though.

SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! Gilmore Girls and Everwood were 2 of my favorite shows in the world. They are both amazing actresses and I can't wait to see them on the show!

I agree drcrookchick! At this point, I'd take anything to get Owen and Cristina back together! Hopefully we won't be waiting until the finale for that to happen, but I guess as long as it happens then we're all good, right? I really hope that the patient gives Izzie a reason to fight, and the strength to know she can. Cancer sucks, but like they said before, the odds mean nothing.

Hmm... Normally I cringe at MORE guest stars, and immediately rolled my eyes when I saw the title heading, but Owen's mom and this cancer patient that's crossing paths with Izzie has me a little excited. Hopefully Owen's mom can help and she'll get him and Cristina back together. And hopefully the cancer patient can put hope and all that into Izzie. I have a thought in my head about where the conversation could go, but I think I'll keep that one to myself until the episode airs.
