Danny Gokey Eliminated from American Idol
Sorry, Danny Gokey fans. And the Fox network.
The Gokey/Adam Lambert finals that Simon Cowell and company had clearly hoped would take place have fallen a week short.
Last night, the viewers spoke and Danny was eliminated from the show.
Gokey did nothing wrong during his performances on Monday, but Kris Allen's version of "Heartless" simply sky-rocketed that singer into next week's finale. And Lambert had earned a spot on that show a long time ago.
That left Danny as the odd man out. He had the following to say about his journey, which included losing his wife just four weeks before his initial audition:
"This whole experience feels like a dream come true. American Idol has given me a whole new hope for my life. It's almost like a fairy tale story. You read about tragedies, and then you read about the triumph that comes through it - and I'm that person."

DANNY GOKEY should be the idol !! danny was never in the bottom ! danny gokey is my american idol and many , many , many other peoples as well !!! i will buy danny gokeys cd / kris and adam ? no way !!

I have no interest nor intention to watch American Idol finale. I agree that Kris Allen does not deserve to be there. The problem is the 15 years old girls can text in hundred votes faster than me. A talent show should not decide base upon the text contest.
It's totally not fair. I will not buy any CD of Kris Allen.

This is the first time I have watched American Idol and it will be my last. I believe that the voting is either fixed or there are a lot of tone deaf people out there voting. How is God's name did Kris Allen ever make it to this point I do not know. He should have been gone a long time ago. And now I fear that he may become the Idol. That would be an absolute tradgedy. Danny Gokey or Allison should be standing next to Adam. NOT KRIS ALLEN.
