hahah okay i really want the season to start at the end of the summer in the hampton's like last year. i want them together for either half of the whole season. i want serena and nate to get together in the middle of the season because them and chair are my fave couples. i want nate to stay in colombia but also be a man prostitute for women of course. untill he falls madly in love with serena again. i want vanessa to not come back from the europe trip and then we see her in like the 10th episode as a hobo in iraq because she didn't want to stay in europe. and she dies. okay that wud b perfect lol
i want the jenny from the second half of s1 and her being al bitchy queen bee. and that's alli can think of. ohh ya and georgina causing blair total hell lol!
all in all i just want chair, serenate, georgina to annoy blair, queen j and NO NATE AND VANESSA!!!!!!!

hmmm... i wonder if blair would join a sorority? i could see it both ways, either totally going for it as another opportunity to rule the school or being totally against it and thinking it is too suburban or middle america or something. i think i am more inclined to believe the latter but what do y'all think?

hmmm, good point ES. well, that was my theory and the only logical way to explain her living in a dorm (in my opinion). maybe the writers will just decide to be totally inconsistant. or maybe they spring it on blair like a surprise, like she will get a letter requiring she live in a dorm and she'll freak out. i think the whole thing could be really funny. who knows. i'm gonna ask my friend who went to nyu what the deal is, not that the show will follow the reality, but now i am curious!

Why the hell would Blair live in a small dorm room where other people already used the bed etc. I mean she wouldn't even take the subway?
And Whale sweater I don't think it is so at nyu becuse she was thinking of moving in with Nate during collage.

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
The entire Chair exchange at the end was such a great light-hearted break from all their angsty, tear-filled scenes. I'm glad they finally can be happy! But I have to give it to Blair for her epic ILY speech: "Gossip Girl can be right about you all she wants, but I won't let her be right about me. I won't be weak anymore...etc." AMAZING. Leighton shined in this episode.
2. What took you by surprise the most last night?
Finding out that Carter and Serena had been searching for her father
3. Will Chuck and Blair last?
If this weren't TV, I think they would last for a really long time because they never stop loving each other even when they screw each other over. But it's GG, so you never know. BUT executives of the show compared them to Seth and Summer who dated for multiple seasons...I really think they could work. They are definitely endgame though, even if they break up and get back together. Neither one is
3.) Will Chuck and Blair last? + Predictions for Season 3.
Chair is here to stay. Chuck and Blair are the ultimate team, and they'll have plenty of opportunity to use their skills. Georgina will be their first target. Then, something will happen with Serena, so they'll have to take care of that. Then, Nate's man-whore past will come back to bite him in the butt, so Chair will come to the rescue again.
Chair will spend most of the season rescuing other people. But I have a feeling that Blair is going to go through something really dramatic her first year at college. I mean, this is her first dose of the real world outside of her Manhattan kingdom. The writers are going to throw something her way. I wouldn't be surprised if a date-rape situation is in the works. Chuck will be totally affected by what happens to Blair. His love will be put to the test at some point.
By the last few episodes, Chair will probably be on the outs... but they'll be back together by the end

Too bad Serena doesn't marry Aaron Rose, since Cyrus is married to Eleanor then technically Serena would (ok this is a long shot) be distantly related to Blair (step-sister in law I believe?) and that would make Blair very distantly related to the rest of the Vanderhumphreybass family. Including Chuck. haha

I could totally see a Blair pregnancy in Season 3 -- that would giver he an excuse to drop out of NYU because we all know she doesn't really want to be there. And of course Chuck would get scared at the prospect of being a Father and run off for a few episodes, but he would eventually come around and then we would have another heartfelt CB reunion.

It does seem weird that a Waldorf would be living in a dorm. I know that some schools require freshman to live in dorm for the first year, but you would think she would find some way to get around that. I can't imagine Blair in a dorm, I mean mine was so small I couldn't even fit half my fall wardrobe in the closet, can you imagine Blair's? Just watch though, she is going to have some ridiculously huge room with plenty of closet space, like Rory on Gilmore Girls. It's kind of ridiculous, to all of you who haven't been to college yet, dorm rooms are not like what they show on TV... That said I think it will be a really interesting story next year, provided Georgie sticks around.
Many of us have complained about the writing of the show this year, so I have a challenge for the writers: Prove to us that you are as good as you used to be... How? by not taking the easy way out and breaking Chuck and Blair up, prove to us that you can handle writing a relationship and keep it interesting.

first of all, it doesn't really work that someone gets "the most expensive dorm room possible". you don't buy dorm rooms, you get randomly assigned to them. secondly it could be (and i don't know if this is true at nyu but it was at my college) that freshman are required to live in the dorm. a lot of schools require students live in campus housing the first year. in fact, my shcool required it for the first 2 years; you could only move off-campus starting your junior year.

i think they should keep chuck and blair together. yes, most other couplings have lasted only a few episodes but the build up to those other pairings also only lasted an episode or two. even serena and dan got together pretty quickly in season one. the build up for chair has been dragged out over 2 seasons with lots of back and forth, will they/won't they etc. - it's been done. i really don't think (and really, really hope) they are going to turn around and repeat the same drama bullshit for the actual relationship. THAT would be WAY more boring than watching them navigate the ups and downs of a relationship while engaging the usual drama (georgina and carter, serena's escapades, bass industries (the return of jack bass?), etc.etc.) i felt like this episode as they tried to unmask gg (njbc!) you saw a little glimpse of the chuck and blair power couple in action!

I LOVED all the CB scenes... of course but I have to give the funniest quote to Dan when he an Vanessa are sitting at the coffee house discussing that fact that he is going to miss highschool:

That they are still trying to find an interesting story for Vanessa....God help us.

I think if the writers are good this culd be an awesome opportunity to have some great SL for them....jealousy, C's drinking, B's eating disorder. Plus they fight better than anyone... doesn't mean they have to break up. Lots of fighting and making up but staying together.
