Honsetly I don't see T.R. knight or katherine Heigl leaving the show because they are Best Friends and They have a great Realation ship together and god now that they can't that away and Alex and Izzie they got married just last week and the love they both share and you really can't take take that off either I mean nobody want to watch the show be all about Mer and Derek and the show would not a show with out them I think George will Live and So will Izzie man now they have to make us wait this sucks

BRAVO to the best Grey's Anatomy finale!!!
I was absolutely caught off guard that for the last 2 minutes of the show, my emotions were just being hit with an arrow one incident after another! The elevator scene was the most visually haunting image I've ever seen on TV! Whoever edited that scene must have lost someone really close to them. It was haunting, surreal, delicate and peace (especially in George's face). AMAZING!!!

i think that george is definitely going to die and that the next season will begin with the elevators closing on izzie cause she could hear the cheif calling her at the very end of the episode... and as cute as the post-it was, it was not a wedding, i want a wedding!!!

I am so upset. I couldn't stop crying. George was so great, and I really hope they do not kill him off. He really is the GLUE. Both George and Izzie add things to Grey's that noone else does. I hope Shonda realizes it, and keeps them both. I really hope they don't try to keep George but replace him with a different actor. That would be horrible. I honestly saw it all coming and knew John Doe was George the minute they said noone knew who the guy was. I hope they decide to keep him around and finally let him have a great love affair as the new girl's "Prince."

If it's true that TR wanted out of his contract b/c he didn't have a storyline - too bad he wasn't given this storyline in the first place. It was amazing - and it would keep the old viewers and even bring in new ones. What a great story to see him survive this and see his recovery process. Before this finale - I was okay with him leaving b/c I felt he was getting the raw end of the sick w/ his stories - but now I want to see it played out. But it seems TR just is going out with a Bang. Sad.

Loved the show last night! Cannot wait for the new ones to start. Thought about the 007 all night but cannot for the life of me see the connection with George. Can someone clarify this connection for me. Thanks

I am fervently hoping for both of them to return, as I can't imagine Grey's without George AND Izzie. I'm not sure I would like the show as much.
Also, I think George's recovery would make for a wonderful story arc and development in his character. And maybe a new girlfriend. I thought she was so cheesy when she was hanging around saying "my prince," but now we know it is true. George is a prince charming of high degree!

Hi im new at this forum, but i can resist the urge to know if Izzie dies or not, God I hope not!!! because its impossible that two of the original characters die in the same episode...Putting that aside i loved the way merder got their vows written...even though its not an actual wedding...

Great episode!!! I don't think Izzie died b/c if you listen when they were shocking her, the chief said "defib" right before it went off.

********PLEASE READ AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK*********
Im just gonna throw this out there, and I dont know if anyone has come up with this yet. If you watch the last scene again, Derek says, "Ok lets put him out", meaning kill him and bring him back to life (like Joe in season 2, George saved his life), meaning that could be the reason izzie saw George off the elevator, but does not mean that he can't be brought back to life. Let me know what you all think!

R U kidding me?? Honestly I was soo pissed I almost kicked the t.v. That was not the cliff hanger I imagined, I knew it was going to be with Izzie, but not George, I thought George would safely exit his character to be an Army doctor, not totally pretty much KILL him off. I love that guy he was great with Izzie in their scene together. AND to not know what both of their fates are, I could deal with one but both..ooooh I was hysterical, Izzie got on the elevator just like in the first episode, but this time to see George in an Army uniform, breathtaking......I agree George will die and Izzie will survive because he was already off the elevator and she stayed on.

Bravo Grey's!! That has to be one of the best finales ever!!! I just watched the last show again. I have to admit, I was engrossed in what was happening with Izzie, I didn't really pay much attention to the bus guy. I was sobbing when he wrote 007 on Mer's hand! Absolutely sobbing!! I had to watch again to really pay attention to that patient. After Meredith drilled into his head and he looked at her, if you really looked at his eyes, you could tell it was George! Devastating! And then the elevator!! In the first episode the elevator opened and it was Denny, now it was George!!! Oh my god!! But they did not walk into the light!! So there is hope!! What a great season!! I loved every episode!! Can not wait for season 6!! 3 1/2 months!!

My heart was ripped out from my body.....that hurt so bad. To know that George...our George was dragged by a bus a whole block...his arm having to be put back together....to realize all the things that we heard about jon doe....and tie it in with George?!! My heart hurt so much from that!

Great finale.
I was thinking, who can it be, that person who saved the woman to jump in front of a bus. I thought for one second, it's DEREK! Oh no, we just saw him with Izzie... so who else can it be.. well, I didn't figure it out. I thought, everyone is in the hospital. UNTILL the Chief sad, that George went to see his mom, I thought, no it's not George, it's just someone we don't know.
But then.. this person starts to write something on Merediths hand.. and that's when I figured it out.. OMG IT IS GEORGE! And I started to cry like a baby. No it can't be George! But he was writing "007" and then the OH GOD from Meredith..
I don't know how the writers did this, but this was the most cliff-hangery finale I've ever seen!
I don't know how the first episode will begin.. but I think George dies, Izzie lives.
But I'm praying that they'll both live! The show wouldn't be the same if one (or both) dies.

So I've decided I hate Shondra Rimes. Why?
The two characters I care least about, George & Izzie. George I've grown more and more fond of and I assumed they were just shipping him off to Iraq as his exit. I had come to grips with that. But this was heart wrenching. I figured it was George early on, but when Meredith found out John Doe was "007," I started hysterically crying. Shondra made me an emotional wreck over a character I could care less about.
Reason 2 why I hate her. I feel the same about Izzie as I do about George. I actually cared about her at the end of this season.
Reason 3: I have to wait four months to find out!!!
It's pretty clear that TR Knight was released from his contract, so George is no more. However, Katherine Heigel (now wising up that she's a "chick-flick" movie actress and hasn't out grown the show...) will be back, I think. She hesitated and had that look that she was contemplating life.
HOWEVER...Izzie flat lined...George did not....

OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD...that's all I could say or think when Mer found out that John Doe was George. I was totally in the dark about that one...never saw it coming. Great writing!!! I sincerely hope that both Katie and TR come back next season...it won't be the same without them. I want the original five to be together in this til the end, like Friends. Other characters can come and go, but when GA ends I would love to see them all still on the show. Just another year, maybe two please.

I do think that Izzie is gonna survive, because when she's in the elevator, she kind of realize something is going on, she acted like she heard a noise or something while they were trying to reanimate her. However, George didn't acted like he heard something so I think that one of them will die and that it will be George!

OMG! I did not see that one coming! I hope they both stay on the show. They would regret killing them both off! When George started writing in Mer's hand that's when I lost it. I had friends calling me saying what does 007 mean??? OMG!!! was all I could say. That was by far the best Grey's Season Finale ever!

I seriuosly wanted to die. they took me for a loop,i didnt know what to feel. i felt like i had been used after sex. O'Malley looked so wonderful and izzy looked great. i know i shouldnt have been upset but i cries all night and im pretty much still upset today. as much as i knew that this was gonna happen i really dont want either of them to die! IM JUST SO SAD! ;----(

They might not be dead, guys! Neither of them confirmed the exit of the show, so we don't know. We'll only know in the begining of next season OR one of them's exit is confirmed before that. My bet: George dies, Izzie lives. Man, I was finally starting to love O'Malley =/
My hysterical mood is starting to wear off. Right now, I'm entering the "totally drained out of any emotion I have in my body" mood. Man, what a finale. WHAT A FINALE! Shonda, I love you, really. I'll probably have an hearth attack because of you, If I keep watching Grey's, next season (which, of course, I will, but I still love you.
Everyone exceeded themselves in the acting of this ep. Actually, these eps. Justin Chambers? Don't make me start telling you the reasons this guy should win an Emmy, 'cause I'll be here all afternoon. Katherine was great too. Sandra was magnificent, like always (Cristina is really growing... WOW...fantastic episode!! Note that Izzie never stepped off that elevator to join George, and she was still distracted by her friends at her bedside. Unless he steps onto that elevator with her, George is a goner. My bet is that Izzie, however, makes it. Maybe season 6 begins with a funeral.....with the identity of the deceased hidden for a few minutes to draw out the suspense.
