I think Alex and Izzie are getting married tonight. In his interviews, Justin Chambers kept saying "it's Meredith and Derek's wedding day"... as in, it was supposed to be their wedding day, but Alex and Izzie are going to be getting married instead.
Also, if you look closely at the preview, you can't see either the bride or groom, and the only bridesmaid you see is Christina. If it was Meredith and Derek's wedding, you would have seen Izzie and Lexie as bridesmaids as well.

I think Izzie & Alex will actually end up getting married tonight. And I think Mer & Der will tie the knot too, but out in the field where she built the house of candles. Small & intimate for them. I do think we'll get our MerDer McDream, but in a different way. This kind of wedding was never Mer's dream - it's all for Izzie.
It's been so great to see Mer & Der grow together in a mature way this season. Can't wait until tonight!!
Ausiello hinted that it's not Mer and Der tonight but next week. Tonight is totally Izzie and Alex!

in the preview christina is smiling at someone on the alter and its definitely not patrick dempsey's profile so i think itll be alex and izzie in the church but i still think mer and der will have a civil ceremony or something... at least i hope!

I think the reason they picked that dress that is to big for Mer is that Izzie is going to need a dress at the last minute and she will be able to fit into that dress because its bigger. I can't wait!!!
I'm guessing that MerDer are going to give it away to Alex and Izzie once Der finds another tumor (hence Denny return) and then MerDer get married in the finale in a smaller ceremony. Or at least I hope.
Next week, they'll be Mr. & Mrs. Shepherd. I wonder if Mer will take Der's name and be Dr. Meredith Shepherd? Oh, I really hope so :)

I must be strange but I don't care at all about who is getting married, I'm more interested in what can happend during the wedding to some of the characters... a wedding is a great situation to get closed to those you love.... :P

I'm thinking that the wedding will be set up for meredith and derek but alex and izzie will get married instead and mer and der will go somewhere quiet and get married how they wanted to in the first place. like izzie will realize that this wasnt what they wanted or something and alex will ask her to marry him right then and there. i cant really explain it but i think for some reason that that is what will happen!
