Grey's Anatomy Season Finale Moments
Last night's two-hour season-ending episodes of Grey's Anatomy contained plenty of great scenes, but it's not hard to decide which were the two most memorable of them all.
Fans finally got to see a MerDer wedding, however unconventional.
Unable to break away from the intense developments at Seattle Grace, but determined not to let another day go by without being married, Meredith and Derek decide that they will write their wedding vows right there on a post-it note and make it official. Their way.
It's sweet, romantic and somehow appropriate ...
Follow the jump (and grab the tissues) for the climactic scene last night, in which Meredith realizes that John Doe is in fact George O'Malley, while Izzie collapses as the Chief and Alex defy the DNR she signed, and the two ailing surgeons reunite in another world ...
Is this the last we see of them? If so, we'll miss them so ...

Lexie: Mark, I'm dying. Please tell Meredith I love her and that she is a good sister.

Yeah, I used to be all indifferent about George's possible death in the show, but after watching the finale, I really hope he lives... but I guess that all depends on Knight's feelings about staying on and Shonda's feelings about keeping him on.

That was a cool finnish they made us believe George was in surgery all day and they were waiting for him to come out ,this is why no one new it was George ,very well done ..Izz will die George will live cant wait till next season ..australia

Even when 'dying' poor old George was playing 2nd fiddle to Izzie. Izzie refered to herslf as a patient, but her being seen in her prom dress again in the elevator means , I guess, she doesn't see herself as a doctor. Is she going to see Denny?
If George makes a come back(!) he'll be recovering and in physical therapy for many episodes.
Ellen is so integral in the plot, surely GA can accomodate her needs. What ever happens, I hope Ellen puts herslf and her baby first.

what i think is really cool/ironic is that during mer and der's "wedding", he's wearing black and she's wearing white (even though it's a lab coat!). just thought that was kind of sweet :)

Ok..Izzie cannot die! That last scene was amazing. I can't take it if she does or if George doesn't come back. What a finale! ....like someone said earlier the writers are back. For some reason, I don't think Izzie will die. George, however, I don't know. We can't lose 2 of the main characters from the beginning. Anyway, I am very excited about Merder coming up in season 6! I can't wait.

I actually more intrigued by Bailey's problem.

OMG! That was such a great season finale and so "cliffhanger-y". I can't believe that they put George in that kind of situation. I hope they don't kill him off because I so loooooove him(and T.R.)I honestly don't know how I'll react when they kill him off. But he definitely looked good in his army uniform. It was weird and touching at the same time that he and Izzie are the ones who are both battling for life. I hope they'll have a nice and long conversation at the start of season 6 and both realize that it's not yet the road for both of them. They can help each other recover.

George was nicknamed 007 in the pilot episode, when he almost killed a guy. He's a doctor = licensced to kill = 007.

That was such a shocker! I was wondering where'd George been that whole episode and the BAM. 007.
