    if this does happen, which i for gods sake hope not, it proves once and for all that grey's has turned into a soap opera. to see a show that once was so freakin good, turning in to something like that, would just be really sad and disappointing.

    you mean like the storyline of Ava.....so they rewrite the ava storyline for a guy. And yeah if anyone came back from that as not being TR Knight....all fans would know and it would definitaly not be good. I would rather not have a george than have a fake george!

    it would suck if George got a "new face"
    T.R. Knight is brilliant in portraying George and no one else should even try to take over for him. I think George will live and Izzie will die.

    hhuummm interesting theory and would fit with soap opera nature of the show this season - actors are a dime a dozen but keep the beloved character at all costs....
    
    I think it would add an interesting element to the show. I just hope whatever happens Izzie is gone. I cannot stand that character.

    If they do that I am done. I LOVE LOVE LOVE george, but only because TR Knight is amazing. I would rather see the beloved character die than be replaced. It just wouldn't be the same!! George is the heart and soul of this show, and its a shame that he's talent was sqaundered all season. I mean I stuck by during all the crazy dead denny stuff, but this would be like an insult to all of grey's and george's fans.

    I said that in one of the forums the day after the show aired. I was up a lot the night of the finale, and my mind was wandering as to where they could go with this. I hope it isn't true, but I could see it happening...I think I would rather George dies than they bring someone else on to play him. I guess it depends on who they would bring in, but I think no matter who, it wouldn't be right.

    I really don't think that will happen. A character is not just a face- even if the way he moves can be imitated, what about his voice, manner of speaking, etc.? I think that after two episodes featuring a "new" George, everyone will forget that the new actor is supposed to be George. It's more likely that they will just introduce a new character (if they decide to kill George off). Some new characters seem to be liked by the viewers and fit well into the show (like Owen. and more and more people like Arizona).

    I saw this theory in the comments the day after the finale aired in the US. Please... no! I don't want any other George than the one we've got (had? *cries*).
