With the American Idol finale dominating it's two-hour block from 8-10 last night, there's really no point in even focusing on other programs.
So, as we tip our figurative caps to winner Kris Allen, here are a few figures related to the show...
- An estimated 28.84 million, on average, tuned in.
- This was three million fewer than last season, when David Cook was crowned champion.
- The 2003 finale, won by Ruben Studdard, remains the franchise's most popular ever, with 38 million viewers.
