PLEASE, I have just one request!
If George is dead, PLEASE let him die! DO NOT change his face and let another actor play him!

ooops sorry, and leads perfectly to his part in the finale.... just a thought, and really if Shondra and her team of very talented writers did leak the unhappy rumours then...genius! And all the on/offs with MerDer season 5 just made it worth it. Our gal is all healed and whole! And McDreamy cut his hair....ahhhhhh

Ok guys this is just a thought but all those rumours of Katherine Heigl and TR Knight are they or are they not leaving the show, would they have been leaked by one of Shondra's team? Shondra is the show's creator so the show is her baby, she has a plan, a map of what the season would hold, so she knew what was in store for Izzie so rumours of Katherine Heigl leaving would help if she/if she didn't die. TR Knight not being happy, well if George doesn't have alot of air time each episode then that just paves the rumours and leads perfectly to the

I cannot believe that the bus victim was George. I was hoping they would let him go to war, be the hero everyone thought he would be, the poor guy can't catch a break on this show! Now, he never made it to Iraq to earn the uniform he was wearing in the elevator scene or any of the stripes for that matter! I was not impressed with this season at all. I am, however, happy to see MerDer finally have a happy ending! It's about time!!

"For some reason the last espisode seemed too predictable to me? Once the patient with the leg injury began talking about the army infront of George I immdiately assumed he'd be going off to the army. And sometime between the Chief talking about George visiting his mother and the woman he saved talking about him, I figured out it was George who was hit by the bus. Very upsetting."
Totally agree! My friends and I got together to watch at and we have to whole thing figured out, with still a half hour left. The second Izzie said 'get it off your chest, I'll forget in a few seconds', we knew she'd get her memory back. I said it was George the second he came in (and then the girl said he was plain looking, and there was no effort to find family or medical history like there has been in the past, so we knew they were hiding who he was). And George was so into trauma, and seeing the recruitment office immediately made sense (because Hunt was given a discharge, so it isn't like he could jus

Last night's episode was GREAT! I had to rewind the last ten minutes on my DVR at least 3 times before I could turn the TV off and I still haven't deleted it yet.
I am disappointed that Meredith and Derek did not officially marry. Why? Because Shonda and crew hyped up this fast track engagement and wedding and so I really wanted it to happen. After getting over the initial "post-it" note wedding, I realized that this committment, the one without an actual paper, is more of Derek and Meredith's style. I don't believe they would actually rush into marriage the way the writers crafted at all. So, while I still hope they make it official next season, I do love that Meredith is healing and it's affecting her life in so many positive ways.
I would like Izze to die. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I think Alex's character has not been as developed as everyone else. We've met almost everyone's parents, not Alex's. We can tell you everyone's history almost backwards and forward

Isn't it interesting who was working on John Doe? Callie, Meredith, Lexie and Owen; all people who have played an important part in George's life. (and not so much in Izzie's)
May 15th, 2009 6:11 PM
What was that last part all about. How she wished they found a love interest for Callie that sparkled, sooner?
Is that aimed towards Erica Hahn? Thats the one thing she would mention when there was the ghost sex?

Naysayers, shut up! You are not really a fan if you continually degrade the show. If you really don't want to watch, then don't watch. And if an actor wants to leave a show, who are we to be mad at them. They have lives, they are real people with real reasons. Like Bailey with her big decision--we don't know what really motivates someone to leave their job and we shouldn't listen to the gossip.

Faith people, faith! Of course all of us are not going to like everything Shonda does with the show, nor should we, we'd be like one person. I think the real trouble with television these days is there is too much in the media. Give me the good ole days when you talked to your family, friends, or neighbors about a good show, but not the whole dang world! We all have a right to our opinions, but if they are negative towards the creators, writer, actors, etc. keep them to yourself. Nobody needs that kind of talk and I hope Shonda really doesn't pay attention to the press, except for the positive. It's such a fickle industry anyway, enjoy it while it lasts.

What a disturbing comparison it is to say that the unrealistic Callie-Arizona gay relationship forced on the viewers is anything like Meredith & Derek. Does Ms. Rhimes really think it's admirable to jump on the "ooh, we're so politically correct" bandwagon? For someone who 'doesn't pay attention to the media', she sure seems to base such poor choices on the same skewed information the media perpetuates. For example, although the homosexuals in this country make up around 4 percent of the population, Grey's and other shows tend to reflect a percentage closer to 20 percent. After all, there are only about 5 couples with central storylines...so of course one of them has to be gay. Give me a break! BTW, I have several dear, wonderful friends who are gay. Even they acknowledge how unrealistic it is to present the lovely lady doctors as a couple. We have watched the show from the very first episode, but since this topic was introduced, our family has tuned in "in spite of it." I

to Becky:
I think the girl showed up like any other relative/person involved with a patient. They needed to build up a story around the trauma. Also, it fitted well with all this saving lives and joining the army thing--> showed George as a hero.

What an artfully written episode. When Mer discovered John Doe was George it was as if I had been punched in the stomach. It literally took my breath away. I have never felt such emotion for a TV show.....ever. Excellent job to all involved. I will always be a Grey's Fan.

"We all thought it was really surprising that anybody thought there was a ghost on our show. We're a medical show. We thought it was surprising that anybody would look at it and go, "Gee, that's a ghost." "
Because when Meredith drowned and hung out with her dead dog and Denny in the "afterlife" that was medical.

It feels like they might not kill George off, but a face lift by Sloan is possible, thus killing off T.R but keeping George. If Shonda does that...that would be sad. very, very sad.
The season was great though, never cried this much over a TV show. Shonda and her crew are pure genuises. But PLEASE don't kill George- he's sweet and adorable

What a devistating ending. Both gone at the same time. I was even more shocked when they said that fellow that got hit by the bus was TJ.(he did look awesome in uniform tho) The show will never be the same with the two of them gone. :(

This was an unbelievable season finale. I have been such a huge fan that i can usually predict which way they are taking the characters in the end and with this episode i was clueless. I can't say i'm thrilled about george and izzy's fate on the show but the finale was done very tastefully. It will be a shame if they both leave i think that the show will suffer without them. I'll be a fan no matter what, but it will be a huge dissapointment.

Madame sounds so auto-satisfied me, myself and I. I don't read the press well Madame you should and you should read the forums not the one from ABC who is only there to promote you but read the comments of this great site you might learn something.
I am sure that it is her same blabla of last year. She is so self-sufficient that it makes me wonder if she's got any respect for the fans. Said this before many times and now I am convinced she has none.

I don't know about everyone else but i thought the finale was great. I was a lil pissed that it was a cliffhanger but hey what can you do. No matter if they bring Izzie and George back or not Ill still watch the show just because I loved it more for everyone and not just two of the characters. I have been told numerous times that im the "izzie" and she is my favorite character but irregardless i will stick by the show.

I am a Grey's freak and a couple of my guy friends here at work are as well and it is the topic of conversation on Friday.
When the person came in that had been hit by the bus, I knew it had to be one of the characters but could not figure out who. I first thought it might be Lex but she popped up after George came in. Now that we know it was George and we are all wondering if his charter will be "killed off". I am thinking that if he was no longer going to be with the show then why would the girl who he saved be hanging around for the full episode? If he was going to be faded out , then why would she even show up at the hospital?

Shonda's kind of a bitch, isn't she?
May 15th, 2009 2:29 PM
As many other people have expressed, at first, I too was a little disappointed with the carrying on of the Izzie and Denny scenes. However, as has happened many times with this show, it was quite intriguing where they went with it in the end. Shonda has a good point when she says that she was surprised that people looked at Denny as a ghost being that it's a medical show. I guess that's the expectations sometimes considering some of the other unworthy-of-my-time shows out there these days. I mean SERIOUSLY, like most people, 'spare' time is a rare commodity. But I continue to make the time for Grey's. I once heard/read that many if not all of the conditions, surgery's, accidents, etc. on Grey's are actual cases. True or not, they certainly make for thought-provoking ponderings. I thought the point made in the Season Finale was fantastic and nice to be reminded of even if through a series of dramatic events (but a good way to get the point across): tell those you love that you love them
May 15th, 2009 2:19 PM
Yeesh Shonda seems like kind of a witch here. Is she always like this? I don't blame the actors (if rumors are true) for not wanting to work with her.
On to the finale...I hadn't read any spoilers or hints for this episode--I didn't even watch the preview. When George started writing 007 on Meredith's hand I just about lost it. TR Knight was the only reason I actually started watching the show before I got hooked. I quite frankly almost cried when he turned out to be John Doe. Izzie, on the other hand, I felt had been going downhill for a while. I expected her to be dead a few episodes back, actually.

"the post-it wedding will have big reverberations"
What the hell does that mean?!?!?!?!
Shonda - please don't mess them up again. My heart can't take this!
