True Blood and Twilight. They're both about vampires. They both star a good looking cast. It's easy for people to feel compelled to compared the two.
However, True Blood's star, Anna Paquin, feels the shows are very different and don't warrant such comparisons. Paquin told E! Online: "They're completely different age groups that they're trying to appeal to."
Paquin continues: "It wouldn't be appropriate for teenagers to be watching our show. I wouldn't have been allowed to."
Given the ridiculous nudity and sexual themes in the show, we'd agree.
Apparently things are only going to get sexier as Paquin says: "I get more naked this season than I did last season. We have a really great crew and everyone's really respectful. It's not an issue for me."
So how does Paquin stay in shape for the nudity?
"I work my ass off. I'm very careful about what I eat, and I work out a lot. My costume entails bathing suits, short-shorts and nude scenes, come on! I don't want to be perpetuating the myth that women actually do look exactly like the way they look in magazines and on television through absolutely no effort!"
Paquin defends that the show is not just about nudity:, "The stories are exciting and sexy and scary and engaging. The characters are all very, very, clearly drawn and real, even though we take place in a very sort of surreal world, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat."
