Don't be silly, Kyle MacLachlan basically said to E! News when asked about the show's sixth season:
"They've brought back Richard Burgi (as Karl Mayer) and he's going to come between us a little bit. They have some things coming up. They haven't told me exactly what's going to happen, but there are going to be some sparks."
Will Karl end up in bed with Bree next season on Desperate Housewives? And will anyone be surprised if he does?

Fantastic! Richard's Karl is the main reason I watch DH. He's always so incredibly coniving and funny!
