I mentioned the real name thing for a reason that has obviously completely flown over your head, so don't worry about it.. (not trying to insult you, I just don’t think you understood my point)
However, I did not "belittle" your opinion by disagreeing with it. If I disagree with you I'm not belittling you, so again, I don't think you even understood what I meant. Belittling someone is a way of criticizing them or putting them down. Disagreeing with you is an entirely different thing. The reason I said people were belittling MY opinion is because it's true: they said that my opinion was "cowardly and pathetic". It should be plain as day to you that there is no hypocrisy going on from my side. I am not the one who instigated a petty name calling argument based on me and others saying that we think Shonda looks creepy.(McCynic is the one I originally responded to) The entire reason I wrote what I wrote was because I have no tolerance for people attacking my opinion

This is mchappy... I'm not scared to use my own name. By me using my own name does that help you know me any better? No. Who cares what people use as their name? That doesn't mean their opinions change just because their name is changed. You yourself could be lying about your own name.
And you belittled my opinion because you didn't agree with it. Looks to me like there is hypocrisy going on on both sides.

You know what? Shonda treated George like dirt because she didn't consider him hot.
She judged him on his appearance, but we shouldn't?
Why not?
She always acted like the hot guys were somehow better than George and deserved .love more just because they looked hot.
She got rid of the one likable character for it, so why should we not treat her the same way?
George was beautiful inside. Shonda is ugly inside and outside.
And I don't feel it's coward to say it.

Excuse me? How does this statement make ANY sense whatsoever? By your reasoning, it doesn't matter what someone's opinion is, it is automatically "cowardly and pathetic"….unless the comment is something positive about Shonda. The reason I say this is because if I HADN'T said Shonda looked creepy, neither of you two would use that stupid "cowardly and pathetic" label. First of all, both you and McCynic are using online handles: you're not revealing who you truly are. This is the most obvious flaw in your argument. DON'T tell other people they are cowardly and pathetic just because they voice an opinion that you disagree with, especially if you‘re “hiding‘ behind a monitor too. I completely agree with McCynic! Why judge someone on their appearance?? You don't know that she looks "creepy" all the time. It's just a photograph... everyone takes bad photographs at times. I understand you were saying she looks creepy in this photo. But don't assume that she looks like that all the time.
What you say may be an opinion but it IS an opinion that is cowardly and pathetic... which doesn't justify you being so rude towards her appearance. I realize that you have the right to say whatever you like and I'm not telling you that you can't do that. I am simply trying to say that maybe next time you can be nice in your opinions and think of other's feelings before you act.

I don't even care about her weight. There are a lot of overweight people in this country, so it doesn't surprise me that the writer/producer of a TV show is overweight. What does surprise me is her treatment of the most REAL character on the show. The character that most of us, including her it seems, could identify with. Most GA fans wanted to see more of George last season...so his exiting storyline seems kinda harsh compared to IW/Burke's. Now the show is about a bunch of pretty faces and there is nobody funny or sweet like George. He really did bring so much to the show.

Shonda and TR actually used to be very close. He was the only one who showed up at her birthday party in season 2, and there are plenty of photos of them beaming at each other.
There's no clash of personality here. IW is her best friend, and she blamed TR for him leaving.
Like many people, she let her friendship for IW blind her to much of his faults, homophobia, anger issues and arrogance, and TR, who is the sweetest guy in the world, got unfailry blamed for her by it.
I find it weird that Shonda who's obviously not good-looking herself is so shallow.
She judges George inferior because he's not conventionally good-looking. Is that how she judges herself too? Inferior because she doesn't look good? Or is it ok for women not to be hot, but guys absolutely have to be to have some value?
Now everytime I look at her, all I see is the ordeal she put my sweet TR through, and I can,t even look at her!

Sondra seems to be one of those people (like me ) who is not photogenic and has a few extra lbs in weight. She's a busy lady and I think that her influence on GA this season will be to ink in what she sees happening to the characters, and then leave it to Betsy and the writers to fill the story out. I think Shonda will be looking forward to her next project with only 2 seasons of GA left. GA is fiction. In real life we don't always get on with everyone, amd there would seem to have been a clash of personalities here.

Sorry, McCynic, but you are completely deluded if you believe that garbage you said about others passing judgment on Shonda because of this photograph. It's called having an OPINION. If you don't like it, don't read our comments. The whole "if you don't have anything nice to say..." argument is completely played out and simply untrue. Just because you don't agree with some comments that were made does not at all make your sweeping generalizations ("cowardly and pathetic") true. In all honesty I have absolutely NO problem saying what I think in a situation where I am not speaking anonymously as you have ignorantly claimed. I never met Shonda.
I did read her interviews and I must say she does come off looking a bit arrogant at times and out of touch with the fans.
In her podcasts, she comes off as incredibly shallow. She keeps going on about how hot the actors are.
I find it interesting she calls Alex hot all the time and have other characters mention it. Derek is McDreamy. Mark is McSteamy, and george? She had him called an ordinary-looking guy.
And George always ended up being dumped for the hot bad boys.
The other guys looked down at him like he wasn't worthy of Callie and Izzie and they were too beautiful for him.
She constantly belittled George on the show,as if a guy wasn't worth anything if he didn't have a model's body and didn't measure 6 feet tall.
That,s what she seems to be saying.

Caroline - I realize a lot of people hate her. My point is that no one knows her, or any of them. People on this board have a disturbing inability to distinguish real life from tv fantasy and a bizarre gullibility for the media empire that depends on the slanderous gossip of pop culture icons, regardless of whether it is true. Do you know her at all? Have you met her? Have you met TRK? Do you know anything about any of these people and their lives? I've heard that most of them laugh at the rumours. I'm not justifying anyone. I'm realistic to know that I don't have a clue what was going on there, and I don't know any of these people or anything about them.
TR isn't helped? He's doing Broadway. I realize most think he'll never amount to what he would have on GA, but that depends on what your definition of success is. I am just wondering if Shonda will go to support TR at his show too. I guess not, as she hates him and all.
The woman looks like a nuts, which she is.
For the record, not only GI fans hate her. I'd say a lot of the MerDer, Mallie fans are not that fond of her either, not to mention the Brooke fans.
She's just not a likable person.
Since Shonda doesn't like nice people (with the bad guys winning all the time in her show and her liking IW over TR), you'd think Shonda would like us.
Being nice sure didn't help TR at all did it? Quite the contrary!

Shonda is a very successful tv producer who has used her brains to achieve her success. I can't believe that her looks were that important. Surely she is like the majority of us, a woman with a few extra pounds of weight. If she was in the buisness of making her way through life based on her looks she would surely be an actress! To be as successful as Shonda is , as a woman, all power to her. I also have to say I haven't liked the way George was marginalised as a character either, but sadly it's too late to repair that now

Wow - I gotta say, what a pathetic lot of people you are. Judging someone based on their physical appearance - calling them fat, creepy, etc. You didn't have parents who taught you if you don't have anything nice to say...? And you all hate her so much? She created the freakin' show that you watch faithfully every week (I know, I know, there's a lot of you who ONLY watch for George and Izzie, which strikes me as odd, since you like how nice and sweet they are, while you are all clearly NOT!) It's a photograph, for crying out loud.
And can I add cowardly to pathetic? Because let's face it, you only say stuff like this from safely and anonymously behind your monitor. Cowardly and pathetic about sums it up.

I think this pic finally gives us a real glimpse of the demented personality that Shonda Rhimes has. That creepy smile on her face is trying to say something, but I'm not even sure I want to know what it is...
And yeah, she's also put on more weight and it amplifies the creepiness somehow (no offense to overweight people)..
