TR had every right to speak out. People were saying things about him based on rumors. They were saying he had asked to have elss airtime when really, he left because of it.
He waited until he was done with his contract to speak out and he showed Shonda a lot more curtesy they she even showed him.
Shonda didn,t speak? What do you call her little stunt about the George story we will never see thanks to TR. I'm pretty sure she only came up with this latest story 30 minutes before she talked to Aussiello and only did it to make TR look bad and the bad guy.
Shonda sided with IW not TR when IW attacked him. She tried to stop him from coming out so people wouldn't know IW had called him that name and to protect IW. She got mad when the journalists talked about recasting Burke and found it insulting, but she didn,t find it insulting that IW called TR that word. She wouldn't have even spoken out on it if the media had not been on her tail and it took her months to say a word.

You know something I'm mad at both of them Shonda and TRK. Shonda because if what TRK said is true she acted like a child. At TRK because is should've stayed quiet with all this and because he also acted like a child. However I blamed Shonda less because I don't know her side of the story so cannot judge her as much as I can judge TRK, since he talked about it on EW.

Yeah me too. I'm not sure I can go through the funeral episode. It feels like I am losing a friend. I'll never forget George. He was so special.
I hope they let Izzie grieve for him. I just love those two together.

I fell asleep during most of season 5 episodes. They had a few good ones but most were boring.
I missed George. I missed Gizzie.
They made the show must-see for me.

Season 5 had ghost sex, interns cutting each other and Sadie. Oh and they had all those irritating interns and dead Denny showing up all the time. How is that great?
When I think the interns, Sadie and dead Denny took airtime away from my George, I get so mad.

I didn't think season 5 was great at all. I think it was the worst season, and not just because I missed George. It was all over the place and lacked heart.
I did miss George all the time though. He always makes me smile when he's on.
We didn't get much this year but what we had of George was great. Now we'll never see his cute face again.
He and Izzie will never have scenes again.
I don't think I can take that.
I can't believe Shonda just let him go.

I didn't like last season at all. I missed George and the fab 5. They aren't that magic without George.
The best scenes alst season were with George. I loved him being so sweet and funny with Duncan, helping Izzie walk down the aisle, putting on a brave face for her, playing bad cop with Meredith, imitating Bailey so funnily, helping Izzie make the right decision.
George always always made me laugh, but he made me cry many times too.
That's the genius of TR. He could do comedy and drama just as much.
I'll miss my beautiful George and his wonderful smile and big big heart.
The show used to be so great the three first seasons when it was focused on the fab 5.
George will always be my favorite.

Shonda should have written for George. That way he would still be alive. I can't believe she erased him all season just so we could get the 007 scene. I would gladly have gone without that scene if that meant George would have stayed.
Didn't she think maybe if she told him why he was being backburnered he would have stayed?
I hate that woman. Now she's blaming him for not coming back to do one episode when George was dead.
How about writing for him when he was alive?
George and Gizzie are all I care about on this show.
George is the one genuine, relatable character.
I can't stand the others, except maybe Mer.
George has been why I watched since day 1 and I spent all last season missing him.
I'll find something else to watch. Shonda is ruining this show.

That's your right Amanda, but George has always been my favorite character. I thought season 5 was really bad without him. The other characters I find them selfish and annoying.
George was the one likable character in the gang, and I have no interest in watching without him.

Like I say, I really don't care about George. I prefer he never return to Grey's anymore because now the show has so many great characters to create great stories. George storyline never interest me anymore.....Shonda has made a correct decision. No more Burke and George. I don't really like this two from the beginning.

George is pretty much the only reason I still watched after Gizzie ended.
I can't believe anyone would suggest it was up to him to get airtime for his character. No it is up to the producer and the writers.
She is the one who backburnered a beloved important character just so fans would be shocked when he got hit by a bus. That's pretty lame writing.
She's also the one who didn't even tell him why she did that.
Shonda lied to us. She said she hadn't decided whether to kill George after the finale. Krista said the same thing a month ago. Now it turns out she had decided to kill him back in December.
TR said he went to her and she lied to him many times. I believe her. Shee lies to us all the time.
Season 5 was pretty lame, LOL. I think most people would agree on that, except for maybe the AI fans who got all they wanted.
I know the MerDer fans didn't like it at all and so did many people.
The ratings were never lower. The Office, on the other hand, got a raise in

Actors change their minds all the time. Look at CSI. Sara is coming back, and Grissom might too. Both actors had quit.
Shonda has taken that opportunity away from us. Now George can never ever come back.
George doesn't have to die for his fans to remember him. You underestimate how special this character is.
George has had one bad luck after the other in his life.
The last season he had no friends, no romance and no professional success. That's how he died, feeling all alone.
Are we suppose to be happy about that?
I sepnt five seasons rooting for George to finally make it and get the respect he deserved and finally be happy, and he dies like that.
It's not TR's place to demand Shonda respect his character and give him something to do.
She paid him so much money and wouldn't use him. That's pretty damn stupid if you ask me.
I think the show has been really sucky the last two years and the last was the worst.
It really showed me he was who I watched for.

So TR has to whine publicly and get negative attention to get a story? Are you serious with that?
He was classy and diplomatic and try to go to her privately, which is what you should do.
You shouldn't have to blackmail or humiliate your boss to write for you? Geez.
If you have to do this, then there's a big problem with the producer.
Will Ellen and Patrick have to go public to stop being backburnered too?
If Shonda had actually written for George and stopped bringing in the million of extras and new characters, George would still be with us.
TR could also have visited later on or changed his mind and come back if she hadn't killed him.
I hated season 5. It was so dark and depressing.
This show lost its heart, and that's because the heart of the show is George.
I won't be watching.

I disagree. They could have George go to the army and have other characters bring him up from time to time like they did with Carter on ER. He could still be calling them without us seeing them.
George has been through hell and never got a break. He deserved one.

I dont understand why people are saying George's death is the worst way of TR leaving. If he's never returning to the show, it would be kinda weird if he was alive and never interacted with or contacted any of the other characters since the 5 interns have been so close to each other since the day one.
Plus there are good possibilities that his death will bring some really good storylines for the other characters. Not everyone watch Grey's just to see George being happy on the show, right? I watch Grey's cause all the characters are entertaining. If George's not on the show anymore, maybe he'll be remembered stronger with his death instead of being remembered (or forgotten) as the guy who just randomly joined the army and never came back. There's no doubt George's death is going to be a great loss for every character. and I think it's better than him just walking away like Erica Hahn did.
George's death might be good for the character if he's never coming back because death could

I don't think this season gonna be weired w/o george coz we already have less goerge last season and the show was great. In fact I'm more interested for next season w/o him. I do hope they focus on the existing couples like merder, ai, oc and ml more and also less bailey the better.

now that t.r. has spoken up, i'm more understanding. i have always been a george fan, but i have to admit putting him out this season, really did prepare us for this. because even if you want want to say that this was a 'dark and twisty' season, it had the best episodes with stairway to heaven, and izzie's wedding. the cancer storyline isn't unrealistic. people come back from pancreas cancer all the time and those survival rates are like none. this is a tv show and they can have all the miracles they want. i do believe possibly shonda could have treated t.r. unfairly. but i don't think it is all her fault...i think communication could have worked both ways. katherine and shonda got into it in season four when she basically said her storyline sucked, and that she wanted to leave. what she did was stood up for herself, and demanded a storyline or asked to leave GA. so what happened? she got a story line and is staying on greys. i believe if t.r did what katherine did, he'd survive with i

I'm mad too, wannabemer, but all my anger is focused on Shonda.
I have watched my favorite character disappear since Isiaih left the show, and I can't help thinking it's not coincidence.
TR said Shonda grew distant with him after this happened, and she seemed to lose all love for George from that moment on.
I noticed that, her falling out of love with George and the way she just stopped writing him as a character and started writing him as some stupid prop device.
I was frustrated and angry.
I read TR's interview. He is very diplomatic throughout, and shows Shonda a lot more kindness and consideration than she ahs shown him the last two seasons.
Think about it. In the end, George didn't have to die because TR was leaving. She could have kept him alive and sent him to another hospital or the army, but Shonda said the moment TR quit, she decided to kill George right away.
Think about that. She CHOSE to kill George and she chose to do it in such an awful way.

Elie, I don't think Shonda will cash out the big bucks to bring back George's family. This is George. She hasn't cared for him since IW left.
