Silver1989, I don't live in the USA either, but I watch regularly on the Internet. I have to wait one extra day, but it's better than 3 extra months. You have a lot of good sites, with pretty good quality videos ( I recommend Surf The Channel), and if you cannot watch on them, there is always Youtube (although, you have to watch in parts). My point is, Internet is a miracle, so you don't have to wait, you can watch Grey's one day after it originally airs.
And that saves me from going crazy. :)))))

Now i'm seriously depressed, can i move to the US lol...i live in Sydney, Australia, and only just LAST NIGHT was the season finale aired here, and now we have to wait till Feb NEXT YEAR for season six to begin, i hate Australia. So you guys better consider yourselves luck that you only have to wait four months and not SEVEN months like here in Aust lol.

Well this is kinda out there... but maybe Mark???? lol I don't really know exactly why, but in the finale he made a comment about how Izzie being sick made him realize how much he wanted a relationship with Lexie and all.... maybe he cares more about his co workers than he lets on??? who knows... aghh the antcipation!!!!
Just a random thought.... I wonder what Derek will do at the very beginning of the episode, because remember how Cristina said to paige baily, the chief, and Shepherd?? Will there be like a dramatic thing about him having to make a choice between Izzie and George??? I don't know I"m just thinking outloud lol

I just had an epiphany!! LOL Does anyone think that PERHAPS its owens reaction we might take for granted. It would make for a good storyline also, because he was JUST getting over his PTSD! Maybe he feels like he is a lot to blame for it all happening. If he didn't get George to join the Army he wouldnt of been leaving in the middle of his shift to tell his mother! OMG...I wonder if thats it!

Could be Cristina or Alex, because they never show his feelings at least with regard to George.
But it would be a good idea if is Meredith because that way they can hide Ellen“s preganacy.
In the other hand, I think the rest of the characters are going to be very affected for this situation, especially Izzie, Callie and Bailey.

I'm thinking it is going to be Cristina that has a huge problem -and it will especially affect her relationship with Owen. She finally allowed herself to acknowledge being in love with him in the season finale. I think she is going to blame Owen for George's death and that will rip them apart. Let's face it, since when does Shonda give us a great couple like Cristina and Owen and let them be happy....
As far as theories go, Meredith might be the one that we've taken for granted in terms of emotional-response.
Patra,
They've debunked the McBaby rumor for Meredith, but I think you're right that it could serve as a exit-vehicle for Ellen to cleverly mask her pregnancy. Meredith could take some time off and lounge around in the house all depressed, covered up in pillows and eating, and Christina could come over and be like, "You're getting fat."
They've also confirmed that Chyler will be in every episode of Season 6, so a McSteamy baby-SL is very unlikely.

I think Izzie will be distraught because she and George were always best mates and he was the one that convinced her to listen to what she wanted ultimatley making her have the life saving surgery. All the doctors of SG will miss George because he was awesome.
While you are correct in the timeline, the original five are not 1st year residents, they're 2nd year residents. A lot of medical/surgical programs considers the intern year the first year of residency: so being an first-year surgical intern is the same as being a first-year surgical resident. In hospital hiearchy though, a distinction between residents that can pratice medicine on their own and residents that require supervision to practice medicine has to be made: thus interns and residents.
Also, canonly, the Chief, on numerous occassions, has stated that the original five are second-year residents.
The timeline in Grey's Anatomy doesn't coincide with the seasons. It took three seasons for one year to pass, and in season 5, the Chief establishes that it's been another half-year into year 2. So as of season 5's end, it's been a year and a half.

They're going to take George's heart??? Where did you read that?
I hate that he's dying. I love George so much. Izzie should be affected. They were in love, and they were best friends.
I'm not sure I can watch this. George dead is like my worst nightmare.
I don't think I'll ever get over that.

I think it will be Meredith. Now that's she is pregnant and still not married with Derek, it's a good way to disapear for few weeks.
And about this "heart swap", how they will take George's heart without even see him. Because from what i reed here, he is not gonna play anymore for GA. Not even for the first episode.

I agree I think it might be alex.....I'm pretty sure ALL of them are going to take it hard, but this is talking about someones reaction that might be taken for granted...Im definitely going with christina or alex....
Oh and i think earlier someone said they have been living together for 2 or 3 years....they havent the premiere of season 4 marked 1 full year in grey's anatomy time...the end of their intern year and start as their first year of residency. THey are still in that 1st year of residents...

i think its the chiefs reaction that has been taken for granted, because he said to screw the DNR... and possibly there will be some after effects that izzie will have to love with that he will technically be responsible for.
In saying this... i also think that george will die and his heart will be given as a transplant to Izzie, whos heart failed
I bet it is going to be Meredith's reaction. She discovered that John Doe was actually George, and that "Oh, God" said enough at the time and they quickly rushed him to surgery. But, when they put him out, and when Izzie started coding, there was a brief scene where we saw Mer looking at George (when she said in her narration "You changed my life"), and it was a scared, concerned look, so I think it will be her reaction to George's death, although I don't see why would we take it for granted. They were friends since day one (minus the little "incident" in bed). It would be the perfect way to hide Ellen's pregnancy, so she would have minimal scenes at home where she is grieving. Maybe we'll get to see her dark side, one more time. Maybe we would take her reaction for granted, because like Der said she is "dark and twisty, but it's her strength, she's seen everything in life and she survived it", and then now, finally, she completely breaks down. I don't know, but remember her reaction w

I think Lexie had a crush on George which she rapidly got over, but yes she'll be sad. Mark is never particularly protrayed as very caring towards his fellow surgeons or the residents so I don't think he'll be that bothered! Maybe Hunt will feel that his encouraging George into trauma started the sequence of events that ended in George's death! It'll be interesting for Callie cos she married him enough to marry him (way too hastily) so has she completely come to terms with her feelings for him?

Well Mer figured out John Doe was George and she knew the odds were pretty much against his survival before they started operating. Der will be upset he couldn't save George. Iz hasn't been so best friendy with George in S4/5, but he did help her to choose what she wanted to do in terms of the operation, and she saw him in the after-death scene. So maybe it's her? Or could it be Bailey, cos she was a tough love resident to our fab5 /MAGIC group of interns.

I would guess it's Cristina's reaction to Izzie and George's coding that is unexpected. I think she will be really affected by it, because she cares deeply about her friends even though she doesn't always
show it. Season 5 has brought out her compassion and empathy more, especially for Owen, and I think we'll see her being similarly concerned about George and Izzie. It might also be Callie's reaction- we saw her praying that Izzie would live, and we might see even more of her being caring and forgiving towards them both.
