How am I being selfish for not wanting to watch a show I am not liking anymore.
Shonda knew TR wanted to leave months in advance. She should have anticipated he would not want to go back to this shw whohas not used him in two seasons, and penned a better finale than that.
She had months to prepare.
She did not because she stopped loving George a long time ago, and she did not care that many of us still did.
I guess I should be grateful. By erasing George all season, Shonda let me know exactly what Grey without George is : not enjoyable at all.
So I will not be watching. Anyone who still like it, I am happy for you.
People watch for different reasons.
I watched for George.
It does not make me selfish.
I still think if he had been offered a story, he would have stayed. After all Katie wanted to leave until Shonda gave hr Emmy-nominated stories.

Remember how Season 5 started? Derek died.
Remember 100th ep it seemed like Der and Mer were gonna get married? They didn't.
Remember how Denny was supposed to be this ghost? He wasn't.
Shonda does a lot of misdirection, until we actually see the entirety of 6.01, we really can't jump to any conclusions. MA may have stated that the priest is for a "less than celebratory" scene, but that doesn't mean it's not a dream.

i'm understanding that the season six begins with a funeral and a crying ...i will be very sad because george is dead...with shonda is the same old story ...this woman made me crazy

I wouldn't say that George had no breaks at all. I think George has received as much breaks as anyone else, I just think the people commenting on that is very biased because George is their favorite character.
Let's review:
- He was the very first intern to fly solo, both earning him "007" and the "Heart in the Elevator Guy".
- He became "Burke's Guy" and was involved in nearly all his cases, especially the heart exploding into fire case.
- He was the one who saved Joe from bankruptcy by finding a finanical-solution to Joe's standstill operation, even garnishing a hug from Alex Karve.
- George got major focus in Season 3 during his Dad's operation and eventual death that showcased TR's acting ability.
- George was the FIRST character other than Meredith to narrate an episode for "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" again having the focus of that episode being about him. This also lead the remaining episodes of Season 2 to center upon him, him & Callie, him & Burke, him

I didn't think it was a great season and most people I know thought the season was pretty bad. The fact the ratings were so bad kind of shows people didn't like it.
I think George brings heart and soul to the show, and without him, the show felt heartless.
I also don't believe TR wanted to leave. I believe he wanted to work and Shonda wouldn't write for him.
And no it doesn't make me selfish to quit a show I no longer like.
George was the reason I watched. If that makes me selfish so be it.

everyone who says that they will stop watching is just kinda selfish. its what T.R. wanted. he wanted off the show and they gave him that. it will still be a good show without him. he was barely in this season and many thought it was great season... all im saying is T.R. got what he wanted and the show was selfless enough to let one of their lead actors go.... sure it wasnt the best way for him to leave the show but its all the same anyway.... just give the show and the producers and shonda a break.

I really hate Shonda right now.
If George was going to die, I wanted him to be able to say goodbye to everyone on his last episode.
I can't believe we got like 5 minutes of him all season 5 and now he's dead.
I wanted him to have a happy ending.

I don't think it's all about izzie..
i guess the episode will start in the church..

I think the episode might be a tribute to george...
even though the other actors that left didn't get great goodbyes..

You're kidding right? IW was all grinning when he heard TR was leaving. He had a big sick-ass grin on his face and said George wasn't needed anymore.
If they bring Isiah back, it would feel like the biggest slap in the face.
I bet George's funeral is all about Izzie and not about George at all.
I bet everyone forgets about George in five minutes.
I just hate Shonda.

I agree. George never got a break.
What's the message? You're nice, you never caatch a break and you die an awful death away from your family, noone even recognizing you?
Is that the message. The bad guys get everything and the good guys get screwed all the time?
If that's it, count me out. I'm not watching a show that rewards the bad guys and kills the good ones.

I thought that meant my George would actually live, and get a miracle.
It seems everyone on this show gets a miracle, except George.
George was the nicest character ever, and all he ever got was one heartache after another.
I hate that so much.
