Peter Petrelli: A Heroic Paramedic

It looks like life is sort of back to normal for Peter Petrelli on season four of Heroes.

During a set visit to the show, we spotted Milo Ventimiglia filming a few scenes... as a paramedic.

Is Peter trying to fit in as a non-hero again? How do you think that will work out?

Meanwhile, at least week's Comic Con festival in San Diego, the actor was asked to describe his character in the new season. He replied:

“He’s seen it all. He’s got a lot more humor about it. Nothing’s new to him. If someone comes to him swinging, he’s going to swing back harder.”

Shawn Pyfrom: No Longer a Regular on Desperate Housewives

No returning show on television has gone through as many casting changes as Desperate Housewives.

The biggest, of course, was the addition of Drea de Matteo to the cast.

But Andrea Bowen and Jesse Metcalfe are also making returns to the series, while Orson Bean has landed a recurring role.

Now, the ABC hit has announced that Shawn Pyfrom won't be returning to the show on a full-time basis.

The actor has played Andrew Van De Kamp, the troubled son of Marcia Cross’s character, for years.

“Shawn’s not returning for a full season next fall,” a source confirmed. “But he’ll come back and make a few guest star appearances... His decision didn’t come easy, but he wants to pursue new television and film opportunities.”

Louise Sorel: Returning to Days of Our Lives

It's been awhile, but loyal Days of Our Lives fans haven't forgotten about Louise Sorel.

Off and on, the actress played the character of Vivian Alamain from 1992-2000.

Now, Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that she'll reprise that role in late September, as Vivian returns to Salem for an unspecified period of time.

Sorel isn't the only star coming back to Days of Our Lives: Crystal Chappell (Carly) will return to the NBC series later this year, as well.

The Vampire Diaries: About More Than Just Vampires!

Kevin Williamson had a few important messages for audiences members in attendance at The Vampire Diaries panel discussion last week at Comic-Con.

First, the show's executive producer - likely best known for having created Dawson's Creek - said this new series is right up his writing alley.

"Every single character [in the book] is dealing with death, loss and life - which is perfect for me, because everything I write about is pretty much death and loss and hopelessness," Williamson told the crowd.

Moreover, he revealed a pair of huge spoilers for the first season:

  1. "The town of Mystic Falls has a lot of things that go bump in the night," he said, implying that blood suckers aren't the only creatures alive in the woods.
  2. Elena will learn Stefan's true identity within the show's first three or four episodes.

India de Beaufort Cast on One Tree Hill

The remaking of One Tree Hill leading up to the CW drama's seventh season continues with the addition of newcomer India de Beaufort, according to a report in TV Guide.

Although Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) and Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) no longer call Tree Hill home, Peyton’s fledgling record label will remain open for business.

Creator Mark Schwahn says that India de Beaufort will join the cast as Miranda Stone, "a smart, successful record executive who has been sent to Tree Hill, N.C., to oversee the day to day operations of boutique label Red Bedroom Records."

Josh Schwartz: Expect Chuck and Sarah Dance to Continue

During last week's Chuck panel at Comic-Con, fans had one question in mind:

Will Chuck and Sarah ever get together?!?

"You know what they say?" said cocreator and executive producer Josh Schwartz. "Two steps forward, three steps back. The dance shall continue."

At least Schwartz shed some light on how that dance might be performed on season three. He told E! News:

"We do have two major new arcs on the show. One is a potential love interest for Chuck, and the other is a potential love interest for Sarah."

Chuck and Sarah

Sounds both intriguing and frustrating. Why can't these two just hook up for good? Partly because Sarah isn't happy about certain developments, star Yvonne Strahovski said.

"There are going to be a lot more complications between Chuck and Sarah, now that he's downloaded his new intersect into his brain. I think that Sarah is going to be a little upset."

During the annual festival in San Diego, Schwartz added that Chuck and Sarah will go through "something very emotional and traumatic," but "it's going to be very, very good."

Cocreator Chris Pedak chimed in with: "It'll be cool. It'll be deep, and it'll have a lasting affect on the show."

Okay. Fine. Consider us in for season three.

Michael C. Hall Addresses Future of Dexter

We hate to break it to readers, and to ourselves, but Dexter is eventually going to die.

"It can't last forever," star Michael C. Hall told Entertainment Weekly. "The show is like a shark. It has to keep moving forward. And if it runs out of things to eat it's going to die."

Fortunately, until then, we can enjoy video interviews such as the one below.

Hall sat down with TV columnist Michael Ausiello last week and chatted about his show's fourth season (which you can preview now!). Follow this article's jump to see what the actor had to say.
