Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson Nominated For Emmy Awards

Candidates for the 2009 Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and Grey's Anatomy stars Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson were both very deservingly nominated for top honors in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

It is the fourth consecutive year Chandra Wilson has been nominated in the category, while Sandra Oh has been in the running for the last five - or every year since Grey's Anatomy debuted in the Spring of 2005. Quite an amazing run for these two ...

Oh My GoodnessA Chandra Wilson Pic

Congratulations to these two talented women!

Hopefully this season, one or the other wins the award. So far, neither of them has - although co-star Katherine Heigl won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy in 2007.

Also there is one more nomination for GA:

Sharon Lawrence for playing Robbie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy (episode: "No Good At Saying Sorry (One More Chance)")

Sharon really did a amazing job as Izzie's mom.

Chandra has two Emmy nominations. One for her role on GA and another as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for playing Yvonne on Accidental Friendship

HOPE S.W. GETS IT, HER "SCARED SPEECH" IN THE FINALE WAS AMAZING....

Wasn't it though? Cut to the core. Beautiful.

I'm confused, I thought Sandra Oh had already won an Emmy. But she does deserve her nomination.
I can't say the same of Chandra, I thought she overacted on several occasions and showed little sublty. I like the lady and the character, but I really don't think her performance is worthy of an award.
Patrick changed his category to supporting actor and still got excluded. Shame, cos I think he liked showing Der's dark side. I hope he gets to show his range of acting skills again. But not at the expense of MerDer.
I'm not surprised Ellen was again overlooked. She had to show a wide range of emmotions, did it subtly and with class. Goodness knows what she'll have to do to earn a nomination, let alone win something. When GA ends, I think Ellen ought to try a comedic role, she has made me laugh (and cry)so much this season.

I'm still in shock. No ELLEN POMPEO???? This SUCKS big time.
I love Chandra but do feel she overacted a bit this season.
So my vote is for Sandra because she ROCKS and is always makes me laugh.
