This is episode 14 "Beat your heart out" where Der was parading around the engagement ring. This scene wasn't shown if I remember rightly. I think Der went to find Sloane (at the bar) to get Sloane to help Der prepare Mer's bedroom with the flowers etc for the proposal that never happened.
