I too miss the light and fun feeling of the early days. The MerDer flirty scenes. When it was more about fun and love than the drama. They're at a point that I don't think they can go back to that. While I hate to say it, maybe its time to make this the last season.

They should tell us about him giving his organs, but not show it. TR felt very strongly about the elevator scene being the last image of George. The elast they could do after the way he was treated the last season is honour that request.
I agree with him too. I didn't want George to die, but if he had to, this was the perfect image to end it with.
It's been violent enough as it is, especially for a character as sweet and loving as George.
I do love the idea of Izzie forever having a part of George in her. I always thought they were soulmates and that George was her knight-in-shining armor since he shielded her from those photos Alex posted of her back in season 1.
It would eternalize their beautiful beautiful connection.
I really think George was the most important person in Izzie's life, and I love the thought of him helping her.
I still wish she hadn't killed him though. He deserved to be happy.

I don't want this to happen, but do you really think the show cares what we want? 85% of the fans said they didn't want George to die and they still killed him, didn't she? The only option we have if we're unhappy is to stop watching.
That'll be a lot more efficient.

I really hope this rumor is not true. It's way too morbid. I cry every single time I watch a George video lately. I really can't take seeing the doctors fighting over his organs. This is George O'Malley, union man, Izzie's person, glue of Magic, total hero. He deserves better.
This has to be some crazy whacked-out rumor.

It kind of makes me sick to be talking about George's organs like that. He was my favorite character, not a body part supplier.
Hey in my fantasy, Izzie married George and they had many kids and lived happily ever after.
Just the thought of her with Alex makes me ill.
I didn't like Dizzie that much but anything was better than Lexzie.
I can't believe how Shonda took the best show on TV and ruined it. Killing George to donate his organs to her chosen characters was the last straw.

I WAS still watching because of George. I haven't been watching regularly since Gizzie broke up. I loved them and they kept me around during that boring season 3. I totally loved them as a couple. When Shonda broke them up, I felt betrayed but I thought we would at least see them as best friends but we couldn't even get that.
I'm posting because this is about George. I love George. I haven't been commenting on anything else but George.
I know people who still plan to watch but they have problems with the show.
I didn't know you had to be loyal to a TV show. That's pretty weird. You can be loyal to a person, but to a show? That's weird.
I wasn't aware to be a good fan you had to love everything about the show and never criticize anything.
I would think a real fan of the show would like to criticize the bad things to make the show better.
If nobody complains, how can Shonda and TPTB fix the show and make it as good as it used to be? You would think real loyal fans woul

I think they should leave it at where the season 5 finale left off and not go any further which they probably won't do
as fans we will really have no control of what happens we simply state our opinions it's not like anyone from the show is going to read the things on this website

I only comment here because this is about George and I'm a George fan. This is the place where George fans should post. This isn't about Grey. This is about George so of course his fans will post.
I don't want to see George's organs taken out. I still have awful nightmares about him dying.
He and Izzie should have ended up together. I don't like her with Alex at all.
The way George has been treated and this doesn't make me want to watch at all but I will post here whenever TR or George are mentioned.
I'm no longer a Grey fan but I'll always be a George one.

I'm sorry I've been on this forum for a while and I think someone earlier said this but I'm going to reiterate. If the majority of the people in here are saying things like "they hate shonda and shonda is sick and the show is horrible then why are you still watching, and going to forums? People that still LOVE the show and are LOYAL followers don't like reading all the negativity... :)

Myabe this is just me but did anyone think of Izzie's daughter, she had leukemia and needed bone marrow from Izzie, so maybe she would get some of George's that would also be a neat way to bring her back!

About GA I like this show. I like Izzie and Alex relationship and the other characters but I didnt like the storyline with denny's ghost and Izzie/Georges romance but I liked their friendship. I would like to see him to have a new relationship The girl he saved would be cute. But now he's gone.

ok...it's a little much. The funeral would be quite enough if you ask me.... I loved George. He was so sweet and I can't imagine the show without him! Or izzie for that matter . :'( We really don't need to see the organ thing but....? I'm still excited about the upcoming season. I agree with Sarah: Izzie wouldn't get his heart but maybe the bone marrow? I really have no idea.

Oh I hope it's not true. Not the organ part but the seeing it thing. I hope Izzie does get his heart. That way he'll always live in her. As a Gizzie fan, it would make me happy but I don't want to see the organs taken out.

Anyone thought this might not even be true? Just something to get everyone talking. A lot of people weren't talking about Grey anymore and George or Izzie always get people talking.
I don't know. Would Shonda really show all of that?
George is my favorite and I really hope this is just some crazy rumor so people can talk.

The two first seasons were amazing, but then it went downhill really fast. I don't think we should be blindly loyal to Shonda and accept every crap story she gives us just because the two first years were good.
She's not loyal to the fans so why should we be loyal to her?
The fact some fans accept everything is why she is giving us crap stories. If we demanded more, we would get more.
The last three years I watched for Gizzie and George. Back in the two first seasons, I watched for the whole show.
If the show does get better, I might watch again but new interns and shocking cliffhangers with no focus on characters don't seem to me like good stories.
Shonda seems to only care about ratings, not about quality anymore.
This organ story is not quality. It's an attempt to shock people into watching. It might make a few people watch but it won't keep them long term. That's why the people who want more have quit.

i don't think this rumor is true. Organs are usually taken from a donor if they are healthy and the donor has no brain function. They wouldn't want George's organs because they had been significantly damaged by the force of the bus. Plus his brain was active before the end of the episode. The only way that would have happened would be if they couldn't control bleeding/swelling during the surgury, which would probably kill him before the transplant commity could file the papers, the family okay it, and the organs have been removed.

EWW, I won't be watching.
I'll watch the funeral on Youtube. That's how I have been watching the whole last season. I have been catching the very rare George and MerDer scenes on Youtube.
Shonda's coming off as really desperate to get ratings at any cost.
No wonder TR quit that wreck and Grey is no longer in the top 10.

How low can the woman go? If I wanted violence and bloood, I'd watch 24 or The soprano? Grey used to be fun and light.

Ugh this is sick. Shonda is one twisted cookie and not in the right sense.
I'm so not interested in watching this. I have never been into gore, especially not when it involves my favorite character, but then Shonda's target audience is the same as those of horror movies : really young teens with the focus attention of a gnat.
Only they could find the last seasons to be of any quality.
Older more mature people don't like to see characters they love butchered.

I haven't thought Shonda was a good writer since season 3. She used to be but not anymore. That show has been crap for a long time now, and yes I did stay for George.
I wonder if the people who say George is dead, get over it would say the same if this was their favorite character who got thrown under a bus, disfigured then eviscerated. I bet not!
I'm tired of the George fans being told to get over it. Shonda screwed us over.
We have every right to complain about the show. Telling people to stop watching doesn't really make you a good Grey fan either. People have stopped watching.
They lost 3 million viewers last year just in the States.
That says a lot of people aren't buying what Shonda is doing anymore.
