Kristen Johnson: Booked for Ugly Betty

Unfortunately, the Ugly Betty spoilers that promised a guest-starring appearance by Paula Abdul were premature.

The former American Idol judge has backed out of plans to appear on the show.

But we can confirm that Kristen Johnson, best known for her role on 3rd Rock From the Sun, will appear on the ABC hit this fall.

No word yet on the role Johnson will play, but if she's taking over for Abdul, expect her character to be a temp at Mode.
