ABC has set a premiere date for V.

The sci-fi series, which is based on a 1980s miniseries by the same name, will invade TV screens across the nation on Tuesday, November 3.

The show centers human being's first encounter with an alien race. Its cast is led by Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays FBI counter terrorism agent Erica Evans.

This character is the first to discover the possibly sinister clues that lay beneath the skin of the strange visitors.

Logan Huffan also stars in the series, as Evans' son; while Scott Wolfe plays news anchor Chad Decker, who wants to advance his career by getting an exclusive interview with the aliens' leader.
