It was a big night of premieres on ABC on Wednesday, as Modern Family and Cougar Town aimed for laughs, while Eastwick aimed for mystery and intrigue.

The pilot episode of this series - picture Desperate Housewives with a twist of magic - focused on a trio women from the New England town of Eastwick. They each make a wish on a coin, only to meet someone named Darryl Van Horne.

Can he really make their wishes come true? And do the main characters actually want him to? Read through our recap of the series premiere for the answers.
