My guess is that the sound is probably off on this clip, because it sometimes is. But, they probably recorded Ellen Pompeo's voice and used a body double because you never see her face. The reason for that is because she is extremely pregnant, and probably would not have been able to run up the stairs in that scene, and at the risk of showing her stomach. If that is the case, they are being smart. Wouldn't want Ellen or the baby to get hurt.
I really could care less about what happens to Izzie and Alex. I want to know about Callie and Arizona. I really can't wait to see how Callie deals with all of this.

Amanda, it's fine you didn't like Gizzie as a couple but you need to respect a lot of us do still love them and think their being togetehr was the best thing that happened on the show.
If the Alex of the finale is a grown up Alex, that makes me shudder. Crying at a dying person and telling her he only married her because she was sign is no sign of maturity to me. I found it interesting that Shonda wrote that scene with George after showing how much better George was with her than Alex.
My friend who is an AI fan said she finally believed me that George was better for Izzie, and they should have stayed together.
In fact all season George was written as the much better man for Izzie, which I find it interesting since she is supposedly selling AI as true love.
As someone said before, Katie doesn't play Izzie as as in love with Alex as she was with George and Denny.
I don't know why, but she isn't.
Seriously, I'm getting sick and tired of Alex either yelling at izzie or c

Well that's your opinion. Guys and girls can be friends. George and Mer are great as friends, not as more. But George and Izzie were amazing as a couple. You might not have liked them, but don't state this as fact. Many of us did and still do. Yes cheating was OOC but it just proved to me they were really totally in love if they would do something like this. The tequilla just showed their true feelings.
Alex loves Izzie but to me, he doesn't really love the true her. He loves who she is to him. What she represents for him, his savior, the girl who can make him a better person. He doesn't love her for her. George does. He loves her because he thinks she's his shot at happiness and because he sees her as his guardian angel. George loved her flaws and all, and same for her with him.
Alex doesn't and the minute she doesn't fulfill his ideal of her, he turns on her. Hence the horrible way he treated her in the finale. He loved her just as long as she made the decision that HE thought w

Will the whining over Gizzie ever stop?? That relationship shouldn't have ever happened. It proved that guys and girls just can't be friends and I HATED that. I actually really loved George and Izzie's friendship but hated their relationship. It was a crap shoot from the beginning. George was completely out of character because he cheated on Callie. In my eyes, George never ever seemed like the kinda guy that would cheat regardless of the amount on tequila he ingested. I love Alex and Izzie together and hope they can make it work. I think that we never really got a good chance to see how strong Izzie's love for Alex was because she was too busy having a relationship with a dead guy. She did marry him and she said that she seems him in her future. Those two were always right for each other. Alex has grown up so much and his love for Izzie is strong. I think she is the only person who has ever taken the time to see who he really is and he is a good man!! I think they rushed

I don't think the connection between George and Izzie ever went away. They didn't have much scenes because George stayed away out of respect for her and Alex. And also because of Shonda's stupid plan to make George invisible all year so we would be shocked by his accident, so lame. When they did have scenes, the chemistry and the connection were as strong as ever, as if they had never been apart.
I believed their love was real. I feel it much more than I do the Alex and Izzie one. Shonda chickened out, and decided to listen to the people against the couple not those who loved them.
It's sad but it doesn't take away from what we saw in season 3 and the beginning of season 4 before that stupid chicken kissing, bad sex episode.
The real Izzie would cry for months over George not laughing and joking about sex, but then Izzie hasn't been written like Izzie since 4.7 anyhow.
No big surprise to me. The ooc writing for most characters and George's death is what made me lose my love

Oops I meant Izzie said I'm IN LOVE with you. Not just I love you. She said both and she said she was sure about it. It showed in the way Izzie looked at George and the way she kissed him in the elevator. That was pure love. She wasn't kissing him like a friend.
Everyone knows Shonda dumped Gizzie because of a small bunch of very vicious and vocal haters. I doubt they were the majority. If they were, the ratings would have gone down when Gizzie was a couple. They only went down when Gizzie broke up, and I know many Gizzie fans quit the show over them ending.
Most of my friends have. I haven't been really in the show either since that happened.

I'm glad Krista is acknowledging the GI connection (I am a huge Gizzie fan as both friends and couple). I miss them. They were so in love. They inspired me.

Thanks for this, Anuflas. George wasn't just the man Izzie loved most, he was the person she loved most. Oh yeah and they were in love. I don't care what rewrites they wrote. TR and Katie wrote them as totally in love, which is why so many of us still love them and always will. Katie just doesn't play Izzie as in love with Alex. She plays him like he's good in bed and she loves him as a friend. I don't see the big love like I did with Gizzie. Izzie's love declaration still remains the best love declaration ever.
I'm glad Krista confirmed how much she loved him.
It doesn't take them off the hook for how they treated George and the almost complete absence of Gizzie scenes last season, and heck we have every right to complain.
The more I am told not to complain, the more I will want to do it.
I'll wait for the two first episodes, but I will probably watch the first hour and that's it.

There must be a time gap between the first two episodes cos I think Mer etc become 3rd year residents at the beginning of S6.
I think Iz and George loved each other as friends, and lost sight of that when they were lovers. It was never quite the same between them after that, but George did give Izz the push she needed to have that last op. I think she valued his approach more than Alex's ranting. So she will miss him, and I've read George's death impacts everyone at SGH, but everyone deals with it diffferently.
Don't forget that Mer has to tell everyone why she thinks John Doe is George

I agree that there will be alot of mourning for George throughout the season, but you can't mourn 100% of the time. It was just a 40 second clip out of two hours of a show and there is a time jump between the two hours. His funeral looks heartbreaking and the reviews said that each character does deal with his death in their own AND that the whole hospital is affected by it. I'm sure that it won't be a slap in the face, but there does have to be other things going on even within the first episode.
As far as Mer/Der having sex as a way of dealing with grief, didn't George do the same thing with Callie when his dad died? I'm sure he would understand.
