On the series premiere of FlashForward, everyone on the planet saw visions of him/herself in the future.
These flash forwards weren't random, either. They all took place at the same time, on the same date: April 29, 2010.
While producers Marc Guggenheim and David Goyer don't reveal any major spoilers regarding that day in the video below, they do emphasize its importance.
Not coincidentally, a new episode of FlashForward will air on that Thursday night.
Did you watch the opening episode? Did you like it?

I found out why April 29th is 'significant'.
FlashForward is based on a book by Robert J. Sawyer.
Sawyer was born on April 29th, 1960

it's my 29th Birthday! although I'm in the UK so it'll be April 30th for me and at 6am on the morning after my birthday I'd better be sleeping or still out partying!

I'm really sorry, but although the series is kinda fun in a lot of ways, the actual science of it - the paradox - is ridiculous. And I just can't get away from thinking about it.
Thing is, if everyone knows the time of their flashforward, they would be anticipating it as it came along on April 29th. There would be MASSIVE parties, and instead of being involved in some activity as we've seen, we'd be seeing people just having some great big New Year's Eve kind of moment all over the world.
And of course if that happens, then the flash forwards they HAD seen wouldn't happen, and it wouldn't be a flashforward at all.
EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON EARTH would be anticipating that moment on April 29th. It would be on the cover of newspapers, on the TV, and people would be together, waiting for it to happen. There's no earthly way they could be observers of their own observation of their experience.
If you can't see the absurdity and mistake of the non-paradox, then you really need to have a rethink about writing good stories.
As I say...sorry and all that. But it needs to be said.

Jack, so the paradox of The terminator series, oh lest we forget Dr Who is feasible ?...
It's a TV show, that's the point, it's NOT REAL.
