to everyone wanting derena, serenate and carena
I do not want to see Dand and Serena back together, im sorry. they were great in season 1 but in season 2 things just got complicated between them, they have a brother, there parents are getting married, i much prefer 4 lily and rufus 2 be together. i dont like carter i never have and never will, and nate's to boring for serena, how about leaving serena single? none of these r the golden couple, chuck and blair r the must be together couple! but jenny could use a boyfriend and N/S/D/C/B/J could act like friends, get into trouble, help each other out,fight like before

I think killing off Vanessa would be a signal to the fans that finally the writers are listening to us, rather than their usual MO of promising us what we want is coming, only to give us the opposite. It would make me more willing to give them another chance. ANybody else remember after the Elle thing "Chuck remembers who is important to him?" which was IMMEDIATELY following by the Vuck. Seriously, the writers looked at last season and the reaction and decided we wanted Blair on the bottom again (she was there all last season!) and more Vanessa? Really?

@insert, I think bringing up V and C again is a totally lame idea...everyone hates her and loves C & B, and now you want them to be together? the rating will go wayyyyy down I assure you! I say kill V or at least make her migrate to some country and never come back! She doesn't deserve to be with any of the main character guys especially C!!!

I think 99.9% of the gossip girl viewers HATE Vanessa. So why keep her on? I was annoyed how she took over the first two episodes of season 3. WTF was that? Please write her off. She doesn't look good with any of the characters so there's no point in putting in her the show. Also, i don't why the eff people keep wanted her with Nate. She's a troll!

The show has become a little boring and repetitive. None of the characters seem to have grown up. Serena, Blair, Chuck, and Nate are all doing the same stupid things they did in season one. There needs to be more character development and growth. Yes we all love these characters, but the writers should improve upon them and their storylines. Killing Vanessa, as annoying as she may be to some, will not make more people watch the show suddenly. I watch the show more out of loyalty than because it actually interests me. I check out spoilers and GG websites to see the latest news, and if the show will improve.
People have been watching the show online since the beginning of the series so that really isn't a factor. The time change is actually better for the show because there is less competition for the demographic. The only competition for the demographic would probably be Greek, but that comes on cable. GG is advertised a lot more compared to the other shows on the network that get b

I think Blair and Chuck are getting boring because they play games often. I miss Chuck when he used to be a womanizer. He was much more interesting. Plus, Vanessa is a boring character. She doesn't do anything for me. Serena is going back to her partying, bad girl ways. Eric is not involved in the show as much and Jenny is not either. No one really cares about Nate because he is running off to other women. He needs to find a girl to be in a relationship with. Dan needs another Serena to come along. What happened to the evil Georgina? I want more drama! The adult drama between Lily and Rufus is boring. They should at least argue. That will make it a bit more interesting. As for Carter Baizen, doesn't he have anhything better to do than stalk Serena? He needs a life! Seriously! Stop with adding new characters. Just focus on the main characters and make them evil to add drama. Blair needs to stop wanting to be Queen. Who cares? This makes her less attractive and makes Georgina more attrac

Well for starters, one thing is for sure - many people aren't from the US or Canada who comment here and most of the people from other countries don't download it from iTunes but download it somewhere else (for free) and that's why these numbers aren't included in the viewers' numbers and that's why they seem so small although so many people in the world watch it. And secondly, US numbers have gone down because of the awfulness they created during the second part in Season 2. Season 2 was so bad because the constant and NEVER ending games Chuck and Blair played got tiring and everyone was like wishing that they would finally be together. During those episodes so many people commented in this or other forums that they won't be watching it anymore because the writers messed so much with Chuck and Blair. Thirdly, keeping Vanessa after SO MANY people are against her, that's kind of ridiculous. Vanessa now gets more airtime than Blair in some cases which is totally absurd! I don't watch GG

I think the show has gotten lame. What happened to the scandalous behavior of the first season. There's nothing going on! No drama, no sex, no nothing. It's just a bit stale at this point. They just need to throw stuff in there. Georgina isn't enough. They need someone really hot for Serena, none of these artsy or shady people, just a really really hot guy that we can believe isn't too disposable. As for chair....hmmm i love it but we haven't really gotten to see them be cute or exciting...they're being lame too. Nate...i mean where the heck is that guy! It's like he's on another show. I agree that Vanessa just gets in the way all the time, why does she show up? Nobody invites her. What they should do is bring up that V and C storyline back a little, that would really get ppl talking. Not that I support V and C at all. Just a thought. PS: Dan is just all over the place, to the point where he needs some ADD medication, oh and I'm over the whole Jenny/ Courtney Love look. These storyline

This question really got me thinking. So this is what I would like to see change. Kill Vanessa off!! I've really tried to like her, but she is so annoying. She is comming off like she is better than everyone else, for example when she yelled at Dan in the episode, Reversals Of Fortune, for act like he was rich or whatever. Next, Where the hell is Jenny? And Why does she always look like she's Coked Out or has just been out all night hooking? However, I'm super excited to she how she rules as Queen! Third, The OUTFITS! They use to be unique and different in a good way, but they just look like thier trying to hard to like unique and different.

I personally think a part of the shows appeal was the fact that it was set at constancere we see these teenagers living a luxurious decadent and almost hedonistic lifestyle. We fell in love with the heat of chuck and Blair, the sweetness of serena and Nate, the intrigue behind jenny's character and tue brotherly love between Nate and chuck and chuck and eric. The characters are now growing up and not in that environment of teenage decadence anymore, we are are seeing them deal with entirely different issues. My advice to the cw would be;
1. Dont let your fear of chair becoming boring dictate the direction of the story lines. They are strong enough characters to stand the test of time. Whether it was intended or not they are a focalpoint of the show and it should stay that way. In shorter words, we want more chair
2. Give us some more njbc, we want to see the closeness of these friends, it gives us something to relate to
3. The eric-jenny friendship has serious potential and should b

The slide probably just comes from the change in time slot, but there is a feeling of retrod territory as well. I'd rather not go through Dan and Serena again and I'm not really enjoying the rise of Dan and Vanessa at NYU - I love my Blair large and in charge, not struggling. It would be nice to have some triumphs, some good times, not just the hard and sad. I'd like to see Nate, Chuck, Blair, and Serena enjoy themselves a little more together - they're friends with a long history, but I don't think the show gives those friendships enough screentime. And just a side note - in those brief moments where Nate and Serena flirt, talk, or otherwise interact, they have more heat and chemistry than any of those two's other pairings. Maybe consider some Sate (Nerena?) in the future?

from CK: I thought the first episode wasn't very good but the second episode was a big improvement. Things that have annoyed me though: 1) Why is Nate so isolated from the group? They hardly mention him and don't seem to care he's gone off to roll around half naked with a girl he's just met? 2) Serena's strange behaviour. Is she mentally ill or something? The girl needs a slap, it's not an interesting plot, it's annoying. 3) I miss Constance and St Jude's. 4) Gossip Girl isn't really involved except for the voiceovers at the moment.
my answer:

I think that what this show needs is to be more sophisticated and richer version of Skins. I don’t know if the producers are familiar with this phenomenal British show, but I think that that should be direction that they are going for. I mean sex scenes aren’t exactly sex scenes. Let’s say your average viewer is 17y old (that’s not the case I think that the viewers are older, but for arguments sake lets say it is) Do you think that this 17y old person would be shocked if she/he saw racier sex scenes.
